Will it be easier to get smurf accounts ranked ready after runes reforged?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a few smurfs I got to like level 25ish before the grind got too crazy for me. I don't even know how I got my main to 30 tbfh.

I think Riot wanted to discourage smurfing by requiring a huge grind before you can play ranked, but it created a huge market for selling level 30 accounts and that's why botting has become so prevalent at lower levels.

Maybe it would be better if players had some sort of limited smurfing abilities so that they don't feel as compelled to play on on multiple accounts. It would destroy the account selling market which would mean no more bots, and fewer smurfs in low level games since people would be able to take their smurfing directly to ranked.

I feel like overall things would be better

Most people who smurf stay at lower ranks, that's the whole purpose of a smurf this wouldn't change the number of smurfs in lower elo in fact it would more than likely encourage it because they would remove that grind.

It would move a lot of smurfing to ranked which would be a huge improvement for new players, wouldn't it?

It would be an improvement for new players but it will also hinder alot more of leagues player base that is in bronze-gold if they could skip right to ranked, also it would cause alot of problems with new players jumping straight into ranked and fucking over whoever is unlucky enough to get them on their team.

What if the smurfing given to players was still linked to their main account so that Riot can hold you accountable for bad behavior? But other players would not be able to see your linked accounts.

I myself have wanted this because alot of smurfs are toxic af but how will this stop new players from jumping straight into ranked?

You should need to get to some level first on one account and then you can make some limited number of linked smurfs

Alright well that still leaves the problem of smurfs ruining games for people on the other team with such an unfair disadvantage, also in my opinion smurfs in general just isn't healthy for any team. Most of the time the team with the smurf gets a huge ego boost usually to the point of shit talking despite being carried, and the other team have a frustrating and very aggravating experience with the ones getting carried talking shit and the smurf boasting despite being in a skill level which is way below their level
