Riot's Balancing Logic
Let's balance champions around professional play scenes (LCS/Worlds/etc) for that specific event.
We don't care about the professional level of play outside those events (when said players are just playing normally). The pro play events is what nets us money.
By balancing said champions around said top of the line professional scene, most of them will become a lot worse for the other 99+% of the playerbase.
Then the event ends
And we leave the balancing changes intended for just that one bout of pro play events for everyone to deal with permanently.
???
Like, I get Riot has to deal with a lot of shit and complaints, which I applaud then for. But if the balancing changes are intended for just that pro play event, why not revert it afterwards? These kinds of balance changes just create ever larger rifts that force champions to be permanently split between two worlds of play, and thus never becoming balanceable in either.
would never get nerfed. All of those champions aren't competitively viable aside from pocket picks every once in a while and they still get nerfed a few times a season because of the hivemind QQ of low elo players. They balance around both. If they only balanced around low elo then champions like
would never get nerfed which is also false. It's a combination of both. The only reason you see buffs and nerfs towards higher levels of play around worlds is because they want to spice up the diversity in the pro scene so we're less likely to see the same champions that we've been seeing all season at worlds.
on her. Never build that item.
