@Meddler: I honestly wish Annie (or a new Champion) were more like Rexxar in HotS

Rexxar's always got his bear Misha out, giving him a great ability to 2v1 most enemies even in early game. Annie, on the other hand, only pulls out Tibbers for her ultimate. Feels kinda like League has no true Pet Champion, since the game only has Champions that summon a pet for a limited time rather than having a permanent pet.

I'm gonna assume there's no Perma-Pet Champion because of either balance issues or tech limitations, but it's still something we're missing.

Kindred or yorick?

Ehh, not quite the same. Maiden of the Mist still revolves around a cooldown, and Kindred doesn't actually command a Pet.

what about his ghouls though. maybe old yorick is a better example but new yorick q helps summon ghouls e targets his pets and ult summons a different pet.

having a champion with something that is following them all the time would take a huge amount of power budget away from the champion and you also need to have it's AI be almost perfect otherwise it'll be a complete waste of power budget for the champion. We already have champions that use pets rather frequently and Annie isn't really a pet champion. She is a burst mage that has a fire bear she can summon. Real pet champions are those like Heimer, Yorick and to some extend Ivern mainly since he has Daisy up so damn often even if you kill her early. For a champion to be a pet based champion they need their kit to revolve around them to some extend and Annie really doesn't care about Tibbers all that much outside of the initial burst
