Let's Talk About Skillshots

One thing about high elos is people are pretty good at dodging skillshots. When I first started playing league, I loved thresh and played him every game. Then my cousin, who first got me into the game, played a few matches with me in his mmr. I got stomped each game because unlike the bots I was used to, they would dodge my hook every time. So champs like blitzcrank are really only good early game before people have their low cooldown dashes and upgraded boots. And even early game it's not the hardest thing to do to dodge a skillshot, which gives these champs high skills. But then there are champions like ezreal who have skillshots that are on such a low cooldown and don't have a huge impact, which are not as skillful to use. Ezreal is still highly viable throughout most elos and remains popular in several builds. But as with blitzcrank, he is not a very popular support in high elos, but is incredibly strong in bronze and silver. If you watch pros play adc, they will weave their way around karma q's like it's easy, but low elos just run at enemies and attack. It feels like champs with targeted abilities or champs with abilities that are incredibly hard to dodge without a dash or blink are the currently strong champs (Gnar, Fiora, Trundle, Kog'maw, etc.) and while there are many popular examples of champs with easier to dodge abilities, (Bard, Karma, Morgana) they are not as popular in pro scene. I feel like there should be some changes to skillshots to make them harder to dodge but more rewarding to do so, like dodging a gnar ult is great because it has a long cooldown, does a lot of damage, and has tons of cc. But if you dodge an ezreal q, nice job, 200 damage you didn't take. I had an idea and that is to make there be a system where skillshots move faster so they are easier to hit but have increased benfit if the enemy hit moved more than 2 times the width of the skillshot before it hit, or used a dash. Ex: Blitzcrank hooks a lucian who is standing still csing, the hook pulls him a little ways towards blitzcrank and will interrupt movement commands, but next time, lucian sees blitz using hook, and dashes to the side, but blitzcrank has predicted the dash and it its him, pulling him all the way to blitzcrank. It would add a lot more skill to many champions and make saving dashes more efficient when dodging skillshots.(Also I'm a support main and I hate when my adc is just randomly pulled to the enemy blitz sitting in bush without reacting:()[slayer-pantheon-thumbs] Share your thoughts in the comments!

The only barely "skill" a blitzcrank player needs is landing a simple skillshot, like ezreal Q. Nothing more

Skillshots are funny, at least from my hours upon hours upon games of playing Ahri. Half of the time I don't really aim, people sort of derp and walk right into it including myself.

"I'm going to go after that fox in a straight line with no other intention than to kill her." -charm, orb, dead- "OMG NERF AHRI"

You'll start to get into pathing and a persons "idle habits" when you climb ELO. Most people have a rythym in which they click when they aren't moving or are dodging. Find the persons patterns early and force them near a wall so that they can't dodge.
