What's the point of Yi's Meditate?

SlashStriker··2 votes·1,361 views

Conqueror - 4 seconds after entering in combat next basic attack vs champions converts portion of the damage to be done into true damage

Infinity Edge Rework - rework the +50% crit damage passive to one that converts a portion of crit damage to true damage

Meditate - for 4 seconds Master Yi restores health and grands 50-70% damage reduction

So... Whats the damn point? Yi does nothing else during meditate but reducing damage and heals. You can also use hard CC to stop meditate like Stun, Fear, knock (up, back) and so on

"But reducing damage and heals" is the point. If you're in a 1v1 and the enemy hasn't CC, you can use it to wait for your Q to come back, regen some health, reset your AA

"But reducing damage and heals" is the point

Which is completely mitigated by Conqueror and the upcoming Infinity Edge Rework

It still works fine against anyone that is not a melee or ranged crit user, especially if Yi already used Q to dodge their CC (if they have any, of course).

Well, aside from reducing the damage from an incoming nuke spell, tanking a bit of damage from your team against fighters or bruisers at the start of a fight (when Conquerer hasn't fully booted up let), or buying the 2.5 seconds to proc the auto-crit from the new Stormrazor...

You forget how squishy yi usually is. Also, it does wonders in early sustain and duels.

Also helps when sustaining in Jungle, the thing he's meant to do?
