AP itemization ideas: Mana Sustain, Cooldown Reduction and High AP options.

I have lots of ideas for the upcoming AP item pass that I want to share with you. Keep in mind, this ideas might be bad and numbers are just for reference.

Nowadays, Mana Sustain is reduced to "take Morello", and has been that way for a season and half now. However, I'll now try to increase the options by bringing some new ideas to the table.

item 3802 Lost Chapter Mana restore passive changed to 20% missing mana from maximum and named Grimoire

item 3165 Morellonomicon Mana reduced to 300 from 400. New: Unique Passive - Grimoire: Restores 20% missing mana upon reaching less than 30% maximum mana. (cooldown 90 seconds). Grievous Wounds Passive removed*

Now Morello has the most burst of all of the mana sustain items, and has the more reliable way of restoring mana, but with a large cooldown and lacking a fancy passive/active.

Pox Arcana 2900g: item 3802 + item 3108 + item 1052 + 665g +80 Ability Power +400 Mana Unique: 20% Cooldown Reduction Unique Passive - Pox: Applies a stack of Pox for 10 seconds whenever you deal ability damage, stacking up to 5 times. Unique Active - Disease Harvest: Deals 100 magic damage plus 20 (+5% AP) per stack of Pox to all nearby enemies affected by Pox. Unique Passive - Grimoire: Upon casting Disease Harvest, restores 5% of your missing mana for every Pox stack harvested.

Originally from the Black Market Brawlers, this item grants waveclear, a rare feat among ap items, and that differentiates it from the other two choices.

Last Hope 2900g: item 3802 + item 3191 + item 1052 + 365g +60 Ability Power +300 Mana +40 Armor Unique Active - Last Hope: Grants a shield that absorbs 150 (+15% AP) physical damage for 3 seconds. Unique Passive - Grimoire: Restores 20% of your missing mana when the Last Hope shield is broken.

This item is the one you take when you are being bullied out of lane by physical assassins. Beware its lack of CDR and low AP.

High AP options (and by extension Needlessly Large Rod upgrades) are lacking nowadays. Let's change and add some options.

item 3285 Luden's Echo Recipe changed to item 1058 + item 3108 + item 1052 +615g Ability Power increased to 120 from 100. Movespeed removed. Now grants 10% Cooldown Reduction. Echo Passive damage changed to anything between 50 (+10% AP) and 100 (+20% AP) depending on the distance, the longer the distance, the more damage. Echo Passive no longer has charges. Now has a cooldown of 10 seconds, reduced by 1 second each time you cast an ability. Echo Passive now only triggers on champions, and if the ability is area of effect, on the whole area, but doesn't spread.

Luden's Echo was a jack of all trades item. It provided waveclear, burst and poke. now provides poke and burst, but only for long range mages who land their abilities at maximum range. Also, there's a new item in town with AP + movespeed to take Luden's position.

Nedul's Echo 3200g: item 1058 + item 3113 + item 1052 + 665g +120 Ability Power +10% Movement Speed Unique Passive - Echo: When you are unseen, you gain charges. At 100 charges, you gain Echo. With Echo, you next instance of ability damage within 5 seconds of being seen will deal 100 (+15% AP) bonus magic damage on melee champions and 70 (+10% AP) bonus magic damage on ranged champions.

This version is the AP assassin/Burst mage version of luden's echo. Just ignore the lazy name.

*Grievous wounds moved to Kaldr's Enchantment in yesterday's post.

Feel free to make your own suggestions in the comments and share your opinions on my ideas!

sounds like a needless buff that doesn't fix the itemization issues at all.
