Does anyone else feel like the new support items greatly outclass the old ones?

The Talisman of Ascension is the only tier 3 support item that actually feels worth upgrading too. I feel almost no need to get Face of the Mountain or Frost Queen's Claim when the Eye of the Equinox and Eye of the Watchers both exist.

Especially since you're working with a support budget in this new meta of 20 - 25 minute games, it just seems like a waste of gold to not get the new Eye items. The actives on the old tier 3 items don't do too much and the extra ward you get for combining your sightstone and your tier 2 support item is very valuable, especially since green wards are unpurchasable now.

I feel like the Face of the Mountain and Frost Queen's Claim need some buffs to their actives to make them feel meaningful. I think Talisman of Ascension's active is fine. Does anyone else agree?

I feel its more worthwhile using the 'eye' upgrades on certain champs, and for others you go tier 3 and sight stone separately. I feel many tank support mains will still go face of the mountain and buy sight stone separately. Just my 2 cents.

Frankly I like the new diversity in choice, and I like the trade off between fusing sightstone and support item for more items vs. losing a great item, and I find myself making different choices depending on what champ that I'm on. Though I do find myself not getting FotM or Frost Queen very often. So I think they should get some minor stat buffs to make them a more viable choice.

Face of the Mountain is fine, the active can really save your teammates.

But Frost Queens Claim still has the same issue it always had: If you buy it, you are left with a Sightstone that can only update for more health.

While most FotM or ToA users can appreciate the health, most AP supports do not. So getting Eye of the Watchers and another AP item is almost always better than getting FQC and Ruby Sightstone.

I felt like the old active on Frost Queen's was pretty useful actually. If the enemy team got too bunched up you could slow multiple targets which could really give your team and advantage in a fight. I actually don't like the new one because you can only slow up to 2 people.

I feel like Face is the only one I would ever consider. The shield on ally can be a major life saver. Talisman just feels so lackluster now since its lost so much

V5.22:

Combine cost reduced to 800 Gold from 835 Gold. Total cost increased to 2200 Gold from 2100 Gold. Gold generation removed. Movement speed removed. Favor gold increased to 6 from 4. Active cooldown increased to 60 seconds from 40.

I would sacrifice the ability to use it with disengage and just go item 2303 item 3800 over item 3069 item 2045 any day.
