Can someone please tell me how to counter Volibear's Passive? Its INSANELY OP from my point of view. Very hard to play around. I already tried using Ignite when it pops and getting APC's to take Morello's but seriously everytime I see him in queue one of my team feeds the crap out of him and he steamrolls the entire team.
whocares1232 votesInstant burst that doesn't allow his passive to be effective is usually the best counter outside of grievous wounds (Ignite/Morello).
e.g. Kalista's E - Applies stacks on auto that can be detonated as an execute.
Umbral Knight1 votesMy biggest problem is this Champ has an MS boost, A slow, an AS boost, an insane healing passive, a bite that not ONLY scales on my missing health but his %bonus health as well, and an AoE Melee Ult, and that doesn't even talk about the Flip. I don't see him played often but when I do I rarely see him not dominate. I mean his W can reach damage levels that make some Ults look like AAs from a support.
All of his basic abilities give him two different things. I mean I have seen AS boosts before but not with a HUGE dmg potential as well. Speed boosts sure but with extra dmg to next AA and flipped? Then the Slow that also does dmg and fear minions so he doesn't take aggro?

Also, you can ignite him when his passive triggers. Helps to put him down for good.

LoRdJeSuS69694201 votesIgnite and maybe a morello is definitely a good idea against him. Not a whole lot else you can do to "counter his passive," though, other than burst him though it if you can. You can play around it though, and not get baited into a fight you won't win if his passive pops.
