Shyvana. You Removed Her Best Keystone (SotA) And Nerfed The Alternative (Fervor)

She feels so bad right now, there is no keystone that she actually wants to take.

how would stormraiders work?

69469238DEL11 votes

not very good unless you dump into her Q early for the damage proc, but you need to level Burnout for your clears so...

Marshbouy1 votes

RIP non LCS nidalees trying to do the first clear.

You are right though, but riot has stated that she is getting looked at for buffs. ^^ that's common knowledge at this point.

Kirius Dark1 votes

First clear is actually easier now since smite heals everytime and buff monsters take more damage

That's true with a lot of different champions. Hecarim - I don't really like thunder lords or storm raider on hecarim. JarvanIV -300 hp was so good on j4 Olaf - Olaf really can't use thunder lords or storm raiders too well. 300 hp was really good on olaf too.

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

Hecarim can make great use of Courage of the Colossus. His ultimate and E should both apply it reliably and he tends to build a lot of health.

Olaf will probably switch over to Grasp of the Undying or Fervor of Battle.

XinCrin1 votes

I thought fear does not count towards hard cc. Also his E will only let the colossus proc on one target. I guess olaf can switch to grasp or fervor but he has no tank keystone he can use now. Grasp or fervor won't make him tankier.

Courage of the Colossus counts nearby champions, not champions hit by hard CC.

If you E an enemy when they are near 3 of their teammates people, it will count as four enemy champions when determining the shield's value.

While I will admit I haven't had a chance to test it, I'm pretty sure fears count as hard CC.

Fear is hard CC. Hard CC is complete loss of control like a stun, fear, knockup. Soft CC impairs one aspect like snare they can still attack, graves smoke they can still move, blind they can still move etc.

I'm aware of the differences in CC types.

However, there was a similar issue in the past where Fear wouldn't reduce the armor and MR of Scuttle Crab. Since I haven't personally tested it, there was a possibility a similar issue occurred.

Scuttle takes more damage from being movement impaired, so slow, stun and snares. Fear doesnt impact its' movement speed so it doesnt take more damage

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

Fears actually include a movement speed slow.

Slows don't reduce the armor/MR of Scuttle Crab since they don't prevent movement, they just slow it.

IIRC, Riot allows fears to reduce the armor and MR of Scuttle Crab for quite a while now.

Both Hecarim and Jarvan benefit greatly from Colossus.

Shyvana though, sadly, has no replacement for SoTA at all...

Go with fervor and deal with it lol?

No other keystone make sense on her at all

Neither does Fervor in it's reworked state.

RogueWill1 votes

it gives you some extra AD...if you don't like it you can actually take Deathfire, her W doesn't count as a Dot so it keeps reapplying it and does the full 4 sec after it...downside is you lose some burst

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

They did say they had changes planned for her kit.

What about warlords?

Babo Migug1 votes

sota wasnt even that good on her I won way more taking fervor and building bork/bc and going more of a damage then bruiser route

69469238DEL11 votes

ok cool but Fervor got nerfed

bad arcade kitty1 votes

personally i play her 6/6/18 as i saw on champion gg and her keyston there was changed to colossus which looks very good

Colossus procs with hard CC. What hard CC does Shyvana have in her kit besides possibly landing wonky R hitbox?

you play shyvana and don't know her kit or you ask a rhetorical question trying to look smart? she has a knockback on her ult

69469238DEL11 votes

please read before responding, thank you

Anomander1 votes

Her ult when she knocks back is counted as hard cc.

69469238DEL11 votes

Her ult is her R, I mentioned that, please read

I guess I should always quote people..... I hate it when people edit their remarks.

69469238DEL11 votes

The guy under you quoted me, I didn't edit anything, please read thank you

Champion.gg hasn't updated yet for this patch.

The information you are seeing is for 6.21

thank you captain obvious! now if you try to read my post, it says that the old mastery in 6/6/18 was changed with colossus and i didn't bother to pick another and kept it

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

You clearly said no such thing.

You said that Shyvana's keystone on champion.gg was changed to Courage of the Colossus and that you take it with 6/6/18 masteries.

While the tooltip may have changed, the builds displayed would have still been for Strength of the Ages.

If that was not your intent, you worded it horribly.

The poor spelling and grammar did not help matters.

Oglaf1 votes

I guess she is reduced to going for Courage of the Colossus and building tank, and then acting as initiator with her R into the enemy team...?

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

Did you not see the new resilence masteries? Damn right they got rid of that fucking thing lol

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

xD this new fucking jungle though

I'm about to try shyv now. This is gonna be funny

I'm going 29% attack speed runes and 12-18 masteries

Raiku Kawisa1 votes

Give stormraiders a try, i've only played one game with it so far but it worked really well. Also with her Ult being unstoppable, Colossus might become a good Mastery as well.
