why are 4 player premades still allowed in normals

They were removed in flex yet they still remain in normals. I dont want to be the 5th wheel in the clowny town shenanigans that almost always come with playing them. Or at least put a damn warning in champ select so I can insta dodge it.

So that the 4 mans can be paired with a bronze 5 who feeds the entire enemy team making it harder than if you just had gone with 2-3 people instead. At least that's been my experience of going 4 man into normals lol.

well, funny that you should say it, but yes.

there should be some mode that allows some 4 guys to pair up with one guy's noob little brother and have a casual game.

And that's what normals is for.

Exactly. Normals are where people go to learn and try things out. If you went into a normal with the same amount of seriousness that you do a ranked game then where would you go to relax?

That is not at all what i was saying.

What I am saying is, the mode is primarily for being easy to get into and not have any requirements or restrictions. So people can get together or not get together and press a button and be in a game no problems.

AND it is also for people who like the blind format

Its not about learning and trying things out. It's not about going to normals because you don't have the balls to learn your smite-ghost-singed in a real competitive environment. Its about ease of access and the magic of friendship and not having to bother yourself with your kid brother's MMR.

Tbh I wish more people would use normals to try out champions/builds rather than "having the balls" to feed in ranked for 5 games, but maybe that's just me.

The my little pony reference does you no favours (and yes I got the reference, but I have a 2 year old daughter who is obsessed with it) though I agree it is good for playing blind and with people you know are bad.

You have a problem with this specific cultural reference? I think what you have there is an unjustified assumption. But I digress.

I have a personal problem with people who go to normals to "try things out". It feels bad to be in the support or ADC or any other team fight position, when you have an ahead player on your team who is, instead of pushing for the closure of the game, "testing the limits of the champion" or "just having fun" going in circles trying to pad his KDA and go 6 items.

It feels really bad to have exactly the opposite mindset as the lead player in your game and basically being held hostage in the game because of that. People for whom normals are the main mode get these trash games a lot because of ranked players who come to normals to "not be serious".

I don't think that trying things out is bad. or that trolling is bad. or that playing not seriously is bad. But I think it is a courtesy you should extend to other players, to do these things in your main game mode and not go into the neighbor's garden with the explicit purpose of throwing your trash there.

The only place I've heard of "the magic of friendship" is from mlp. Sorry if that's a normal statement where you are.

It's not a question of not trying, and tbh when I try things out I still normally end up doing the best on my team. And I always play to win, whether it's casual or not. Yes it's nice to see how the champion does with full build but I don't ever try to extend a game to do it (that's akin to throwing imo)

Again I didn't say they were trash games. When I try something new in normals (like a new champion) I play to win. If we lose however then no one has ACTUALLY lost anything.

Trolling is bad, and I don't do it. If you only play normals then your "Garden" is communal and therefore should have bins. Ranked SOLO is your garden, and though most people seem happy to throw their trash in there anyway, I'm just not one of them.

Finally small point to finish. You made several assumptions about my character and play habits despite having no previous contact with me. The fact you then stated that you have a personal problem with me based on these assumptions is concerning. Maybe you should look a little at the people you play with if this is you expectation of a random person on the forum who states something as normal as trying out new champions/builds in normal game mode. You might be hanging out with the wrong people online. Anyway, that's the last I'll say on the matter.

I do not have a problem with you personally.

I mean to say that I, as a person, am annoyed when I go into a game and I find out the team's mid lane or top lane has exactly the opposite mindset on what to get out of the game, than myself. I meant to say, when i used the word "personal", that _I _am annoyed. Not that you are a bad person or anything like that.

Bad usage of language on my part, I apologize.

so now premades cant play normals?? come on.. maybe u should start queuing up with some friends of your own that way u have no reason to start a thread like this..

I'm not against 2,3, or even 5 player premades. I just dont want to be 5th player in a 4 player group. I made friends over time playing this game. However I rarely duo because it was never my intent or preference going into this game do so.

so wait cause u dont want to be apart of a 4 man premade game those who dont mind it or actually members of 4 man premades should suffer?? maybe u just need to be less fragile and mute them if they are so toxic.. but lets be honest every 4 man premade cant be toxic so the common denominator must be that u r the toxic player but just dont know it.. Mute button works wonders for your game play.. try using it..

Because this would put people in an awkward position of "hey let's play some norms! oh, we have 4 people, sorry Johnny you're sitting this one out." Norms aren't the same competitive environment that ranked matches are, and while it does suck to be the odd one out, it's not like you're at risk of losing LP because the circlejerk decides you guys can't win or something.

Only reason they were removed from flex was que times. People rarely que flex alone so 4 people would have to wait long time for match. However people often que normals alone so there is no such issue.

saltran1 votes

It's fking normal games sure they should be able to play as 4.

Beerstein1 votes

The easiest solution is don't play that mode. There needs to be a place in the game for 4 man teams though. I hate them as much as anyone, but it is what it is.
