PSA: If you need help in your lane, flaming is the best way to NOT get it
There have been so many times when I've seen laners all get stomped by their laner or pressured by mid or jungle ganks or support roams, which causes them to go crazy with rage, flaming their teammates for not doing the same. The worst situation is when a top laner loses lane because they went too ham level 1-2 and proceeds to spam the "Assist Me" ping when they're being shoved under tower and tower dived.
Often times in pure frustration (and a lack of taking responsibility) they'll flame the jungler for having lack of pressure or they'll spam things over and over again, talking about how dumb their team is for not helping them. Or maybe the jungler actually ISN'T giving you the pressure they you deserve. If the enemy jungler is giving more pressure and yours is still farming, yeah the jungler should be a little more focused on giving some kind of presence in lane, but because you were flaming them, they haven't roamed up top at all.
Sometimes ADCs may not have the best support NA and they're being punched in the teeth by the other support/ADC whilst their support is trying to focus on giving vision of dragon and the enemy camps. Or maybe the support is trying their very best to help, but they're being outclassed. There have been times when the ADC just flames the support so bad that the support starts to support top lane, leaving the ADC alone... who often times will go to /all chat and type, "report support for troll."
What do these situations have in common? In both scenarios the laners were in losing positions but instead of asking for help in a fairly nicely way, they decide to let their frustrations get the better of them and almost demand better gameplay in the most negative way possible.
People, if you have a habit of doing this, you need to understand one thing and one thing only.
No one is entitled or bound by law to help you win your lane. No one. Not the jungler, not the support.
Now what does this mean? It means that if you proceed to flame your teammates to get them to give your lane attention, they are within their rights to ignore you. In fact, you flaming them will probably get them to leave you to starve on purpose.
Now, does it mean that they're RIGHT for ignoring you? No. They're not. They're just as wrong for leaving you to burn in your lane as you are for flaming them. Because in the end, if the jungler doesn't help the top laner try to survive their early game to get them into relevancy, that top laner is going to be useless in the next team fight. Same thing goes for the support who decided to support the top laner when their ADC flamed them for not playing better.
Supports are not immune to this ether. I've seen some horribly toxic supports who bashed on their ADC for not following up on plays or not playing aggressive whilst they're trying to farm. Or supports who flame their ADC for not dodging skills shots or getting hooked by the Blitzcrank/Naut/Thresh. "Freaking ADC, can you please dodge ONE skill shot?!" "Useless ADC. I'm going top/mid."
If you find yourself getting horribly pissed off? Just try and count to ten. If you're getting camped or you need your support to play a little better, just flat out talk to them and tell them that you need a little more pressure or you need your ADC to play just a little more aggressively or your need your support to try and play a little more defensively.
If I can help at the very least one person who reads this post to not be so angry in lane then my mission is accomplished.
