How to fix a Teleport issue. Teleport in this version doesnt belong in League

It should be replaced with following 3 Parts (Teleport gets removed from the game but we get 3 Healthy replacements) Typically teleport has 3 different uses early botlane ganks, lategame flanks from behind, and tower protecting/farm grabbing

I would replace teleport with:

  • 1 Map change
  • 1 Rune
  • 1 Item

I ll start off with map change

I call it Cross Portal

Cross Portal would be positioned at top left Corner and bottom right Summoner rift corner and it would occasionally allow champions to pass a "Ritual" In order to Open it for 5 seconds

What would be a Ritual Well something simple walk a star/hearth/Potato shaped path then autoattack something in a middle. Portal opens and you can cross it

we could make it so that always the same shape spawns like a star But this would be a so called "healthy Rng" (You would see in advance what would spawn if we go with Rng Route, really doesnt matter to much if you walk a star/hearth/square but whatever)

Balance rules / How I would design it:

  • 1 Person can use the opened Cross Portal (typically support / toplaner ll gank via this so they ll initiate it prob, with Kench / Kalista 2 could travel)
  • Portal should open no more then 2-3 times during laning phase (Toplane is an Island but it needs to interact with the rest of a map - Riots line)
  • The enemy can stun a Ritual by not letting you walk given shape, they can also take over where you started if you give up position / die or something
  • If both players are standing on a shape which needs to fill up nothing is filling UP so a Portal wont open or rather should I say will fail and read below
  • If Ritual isnt passed (Usually enemy wont let you) inside 15 seconds (It should take 4 seconds to pass it on average) it ll freeze for a minute
  • Once someone uses Cross Portal it ll go on 4 minute Global cooldown for both teams
  • The first Cross Portal opens at minute 8 since I estimate thats when Botlaners are level 6 and toplaner is level 7 (sounds fair to me)
  • Teleporting via Cross Portal completes in 1 seconds ( we can make it 1.5 seconds ), on the edge of map (Bottom right, top left corners)

So whats the purpose / benefits of Cross Portal ? Why am I suggesting this?

Allows Toplaners to gank botlane which is one of the most important uses of removed teleport (Other healthy uses covered via item / rune) Decentralization (Mid is no longer the best positioned role which can influence everything the best since all positions can) Allows supports (Well yes you can gank with ADC to, scarry cross map Ashe arrow ganks inc) to gank toplane in a new non gimmicky way Some new fresh macro rotations

Teleport is removed because it feels clunky with fking long channel / also its unhealthy due to deep wards 800 range off Opposite towers

Sure everyone experienced both annoying parts of teleport: OHHHHH they had entire year to react / or would have so you never used TP to actually impact map, what an exciting summoner spell! OHHHHH they are teleporting behind my back I AM NOT EVEN OVEREXTENDED! (those annoying just outside of tower range Wards)

Cross portal always ports in a map EDGE so its healthy, also the channel doesnt give them enough time to take a shower + its telegraphed Portal ll be opened more often by toplaners well since at botlane 2 players can disrupt you DUH...

Rune - Fortify (tribute to old Fortify, you get an item in inventory would probably suit green tree, resolve is it=?)

**Unless you have recently died teleport to a Tower channel time 2.5 seconds 1 time use, tower doesnt take dmg during those 2.5 seconds **

Thats it... But why Would I suggest that?

  1. Kiling someone then backing only to have them come back to lane via Summoner spell teleport and get ahead is AIDS. Doesnt turtle bad players
  2. It can only be used at towers so we really dont need 4 second channel. Fk could even probably go down to 2 seconds
  3. Tower is immune to dmg because why not.. this rune is here to protect towers / reposition to a side of map which has resources to be taken (minions)

**Item - SkyBlaster **

It could build out of fortify should cost around 3000 gold Has an active which Allows you to teleport can be used on a ward 3 second channel - proven good channel time via Past

It should give non niche stats (So no AD/AP/CDR/ so that both AP and AD Juggernauts can build this) 400hp 55armor 45 mr (I would like to see it give this stats,) Chain vest + cloack + new item (Saphire crystal + fortify + gold) + gold

The last use of teleport is for juggernauts to flank in a lategame. Here have an item which does that

And there you go this is how you remove Teleport from a game and replace it with something better

You haven't really demonstrated how this is better. It's just different, and would take a lot more work to add.

TBH as a jg Im clearing one side ganking one lane and portalling to the other side to gank and clear my other side or invade. Making it impossible for the enemy jg to match my pressure on both sides of the map since i took the the portal. Theres reasons junglers are forced to take smite, and one of them is becuase if jg could have tp that would be super broken.
