Why does Taliyah's Worked Earth effect last so long? (180s)

The Worked Earth is a relatively large circle area that appears around Taliyah whenever she uses her Q. The effect lasts for 180s. Within that circle, another Q will only fire one bullet-rock instead of 5, but at half the mana cost. Isn't 180s a bit excessively long?

EDIT: Ah, forgot about the 10-20% bonus MS thing. Still seems too long for such a basic ability though.

EDIT 2: Not sure why I've been downvoted. Care to respond? EDIT 3: lol more downvotes

she also gets movespeed in the circle so shouldn't it be a more strategic type usage? but yeah it does seem too long for a basic ability

Yeah it is, considering that her Q is really her only good skill, it should fire max projectiles all the time. Her passive is only nice for moving around the map somewhat faster, it mainly just looks cool but isn't great. Her ult is cool, but it does no damage and screws your team often. Her boulder field is just laughable because people just walk out of it. Her knockup is cool and decent. I've had a Taliyah on my team for the past 5-8 games or so, and she's of almost no use. During team fights, all she has is her Q, and if she miss then she contributes nothing. Yeah, her ult is useful for ganks, but it doesn't even go that far considering it does absolutely no damage. Every game with her my team is always behind because it feels like 4v5.

It's funny that you ask a question and get down voted. Makes sense...

It's a bit too long but the MS boost is really useful vs ganks amd skillshots. It's a strategic trade off as for when/where you use it because the 5 rocks actually deal a lot of damage. You can also use it in even small gaps of unworked earth, just gotta position smartly.
