PSA: People Need to Earn Their Pentas

No joke, I just had my teammates in co-op wanting me to give the Graves bot a penta when he somehow scored a quadra. I shut him down instead and their response was just "...".

Look, if a game is at all close, I'm never going to give anyone a penta. Because if I were them, I would want to earn it. I've never had a penta before, but it wouldn't feel the same if someone just sacrificed themselves to me for the fifth kill after I had to work to get those first four. To me, it would be like when I got a penta against bots. It just didn't feel like it counted.

So call me whatever names you want in game if we're ever in a match together and I don't just give up the penta. I honestly don't care one iota.

i dont like being given the penta, but in ranked pentas are pentas

In ranked, there is literally no scenario where I will not do everything I possibly can to avoid giving up a penta if it comes down to me. I'm not giving away any free kills in ranked.

i didnt say give it. i said if someone gives me one in ranked im not gonna complain honestly. it is a stat i like to have

We were all huddled together in one spot (with them all somewhat low, with me a little behind everyone else like an ADC should be, and my teammates stuck around too long in that one spot and got taken down for the quadra. And they wanted me to give him the penta, apparently.
