And Doran's blade is the only viable starter for everyone else. Could Doran's shield get some instant damage reduction back like it used to in the past? At the moment it's simply inferior to all the other starter items, to the point you're putting yourself at a disadvantage by buying it.

Dark seal is no longer a starter item as it was nerfed this patch. Now you either see corrupting potion or doran's blade. There are no other starters except for a few niche champions (cough mid laners cough) who like to start with boots and four health potions.

yeah wrote that before going into the new patched client even. The dark seal changes affect my Vlad start too ;-;
