But look at our supports, they barely scale on CC or utility and the amount of utility they give is NOTHING compared to damage scaling. Compare full AP Nami to full AP Zyra [zombie-brand-facepalm] if riot wanted support to be more desired, supports should have stronger CC effects Or utility and lower the damage...

When I play support today it's more of a polished feel than the old era support, who else remembers having to buy like 30 wards to spend the next 4 minutes having the ward the entire map meanwhile my marksman is bitching I am not in lane.

No, it isn't. The idea of a support is that you have a player that goes in a duo lane to assist another player in farming, harassing the enemy, and surviving the enemy harass.

But support as a whole is more than just being an ADC's baby sitter. A good support will roam the map and apply pressure on the enemy much like a jungler would and they need to do that with little gold.
But like another guy said before me, support will never be popular because people care about big damage and KDA.
