Can we all agree on ONE thing? That thing being..
that the balance team doesn't know to do with Elise.. at all. How do you attempt to buff a champion only to see their winrate drop even more?

I'd suggest that the drop in winrate was more people unused to Elise trying her out, and trying new things on her.
I think it's more likely that their focus is elsewhere. They'll probably get to her eventually
Elise isnt even bottom 3 lowest win rate lel
Check again. Last I checked, she had the lowest winrate of any jungler in the game, or for that matter, any champion in the game at 41% (which is still higher than immediate-post-nerf Azir, he dropped into the thirties I think)
Kassadin>Zac>Zilean>elise - ascending order
I call shit on Zac being near lowest win rate. What is your source?
lolking, other sites that have charts, ill try find their names
He's not bottom 3 dude. Just saying. The lowest I found him was 10th lowest winrate today.
Yeah.. I was really hyped about the "buffs" only to find my first clear was way harder and i felt no stronger in fights. Infact the crappy runeglaive didnt help.. Magus was way better.
I like Cinderhulk on her more honestly. Grabbing Haunting Guise as my offensive item into Liandry's, possibly getting Abyssal instead or as well depending on the team comp and then going into straight tank items. Runeglaive only increases her burst slightly, but I don't think it's meaningful enough to warrant getting it over the sustained damage you can get from Liandry's + Cinderhulk.
I actually felt the first clear was better, you can let the spiderlings tank all of the damage rather than juggling agro as you don't need them to keep your sustain, but outside of the jungle, it feels like a straight up nerf. They had much higher numbers on the PBE but they cut them down in both the base heal and the AP ratio for it. The E change seems alright but people are complaining about it being buggy (no pun intended), and the buff it gives is kinda invisible in that you don't really notice it (unless you had an ungodly amount of AP I guess). I know it increases my damage, but I feel like seeing a representation of the buff duration would be nice (a small glow of red like on Warwick's W).
Anyway. That's my opinion on that matter. I tried Runeglaive out on her and it did give me a little extra upfront damage in my combo, but it seemed very front loaded and I feel like Elise can only use it effectively in the early game. Unless you go full AP, the damage falls off hard, and then you are a full AP Elise, squishier than my man tits and lacking in damage when compared to other AP mages.
Yeah I agree, i went rylias into cinderhulk then full tank and it felt way better.. i only got to 5 items im sure liandries is good too, its just a personal favorite going rylias. I might of gotten Liandries last item. I made sure my spiderlings tanked on my first clear and its okay, the sad part is they are still kinda squishy so they dont always last long.. either way the strategy is still similar, instead you press W while they are tanking.. I feel like she needs something.. But i dont know what...
If they were to give her some more of that lategame on hit heal, I think she would be pretty well off. She suffers in this meta but if she could better sustain in the midst of fights, I feel like she could stay more relevant and not fall off as hard.
Liandry's is getting an AP buff in 5.13 and that should help her a little bit. The Rylai's change will do well for her as well as it includes your spiders as appliers of the slow. I personally just like the Flat Pen and passive of Liandry's better. In conjunction with Frozen Heart's aura, you actually meet the requirement for "impaired movement" on Liandry's, getting the full effect of the passive.
My build will look like this on Elise: Core:
or
depending on enemy team comp (AD heavy versus AP heavy). Other defensive items I get are typical:
or
and sometimes
. I only get a second offensive item if I feel the team would need the damage or I'm fed. In which case I would grab the other core offensive item (Abyssal or Liandry's/Void) or get a Zhonya's because Zhonya's. I guess Rylai's wouldn't be bad especially after the changes in the PBE allowing her spiderlings to apply slows so that's a potential pick up. Boots are situational of course but I usually go for
or
but
and
boots have their place.
If they were to give her some more of that lategame on hit heal
The new devourer perhaps?
I really don't know what to think on that item as of right now. I can't tell if it's completely OP or just situationally strong. I don't have a PBE account, so I can't test anything, so I'll see what youtubers say about it. I also don't really like it on Elise as it doesn't give her any immediate combat stats she can use effectively. And I would think it would only apply strong on hit effects if she invests very heavily in that with Nashor's and a Deathcap in conjunction (unless it is just completely broken on its own; in which case, I don't think the item should be released). This will leave her as an exceptionally squishy lategame melee dps champion which I guess can work, but one stun in the middle of a teamfight and she would be squished very quickly. I don't think she would really be able to build the items necessary to become that lategame threat if she doesn't have an early game to speak of.
She literally just got changed, let time pass for people to relearn or get used to the changes and then decide.
That's somehow similar to: Olaf Skarner Eve tristana morde ...10 more champs
rework-buffs.
