when will riot put some work on assasins?

this class is still preety undefined, we have things like yi, nidaele, zed, rengar and shaco there there is not realy a thing that assasins specialize in overall, there are ones with good single target burst, aoe damage (this covers single target burst too), sustained damage, tankyness

usualy people define assasins as single target murderers who rely on one combo to kill, but riot nerfs them to the point when they rarely can do that but that does not cover the definition that riot gave them

on teambuilder its writen that they seek out weaker targets and kill them quickly and "mercilessly" but sorry how does eve and noct kill quickly, and why is akali or fizz capable to just burst a tank down

i get that riot struggles with counterplay for those guys because lcsmoney but this class is insanely undefined compared to bruisers who riots cries about (they say that they want to give them a role, but they dont notice that assasin covers like half of the roles we actualy have)

Um... Zed, Rengar and Shaco are all assassins... Not just in name... So is Nidalee, sometimes...

Part of the problem is the negative game play that accompanies assassins. No one wants to play a game where the get deleted with no chance to respond.

yeah but you know... that diversity master yi is a meele adc, rengar and noct are bruisers, kata and lb are mages not all of them are limited by combos, some can be even tanky

Oh the diversity is nice; but in the end Riot would rather insure that the most people possible have a positive game experience. They don't mind champs with great combos to shut you down, but there needs to be a way to counter them, to keep yourself alive other than staying in base.

yeah diversity is nice but you cant call naut an adc and when it comes to assasins riot just showed there some champs that incorporate some factor of swift kill or dont exactly fill anything else yi is not an assasin in my opinion, kata is mage in my opinion, and rengar is a bruiser

i get the diferent types of assasination ,eve kills slowly, akali kills fast and zed kills safe but i feel like some champs who are branded as assasins dont actualy do the assasins work

But look at a game where there was a fed Akali on the other team. It sucks, usually cause your team to flame, and depending on how fed she is, means there is no point in going to lane - becasue you can't run, fight, or avoid her.

Its a toxic environment.

i wont disagree that riot fked up the balance of them but putting anything that doesnt exactly fit other roles but is able to kill under the assasin tab is even more fked up

i know that fizz for instance is not reliant on his ult while his skills have short cd's allowing him to assasinate 3 ppl per tf or that akali's power spikes just too hard buut still how do you want to adress the problems of assasins when you have even a tank accounted among them (tanky building eve, rengar)or a freaking adc

the term assassin generally refers to ANY champ who is better at killing isolated targets; anyone with good dueling potential and great focus is an "assassin"

So by that definition, all solo lanes of non-assassins need help against them (or need be the one to catch the other one out of position)

"anyone with good dueling potential and great focus is an "assassin" " that description is als overy broad

darius and volibear could also become assasins

no matter how you try to specify what assasins do, there always be some champs that are already branded as assasins but are exception to that description i would like riot to just state clearly what do assasins do and try too make this specific role less toxic and to put the champs who got put under the standarts of assasins into a better spot ballance wise

it all comes to stating what is what and them checking if its strong in correct areas for its class

Well, really all the roles are pretty broad...

Marksman: ranged AD champion Support: Any champion focuses on crown control and/or buffing allies Tank: A champion who takes a lot of damage, usually has little return damage Fighter: champion who cant tank as well, but also does more damage Mage: Champion who uses abilities as main damage source rather than attacks - tends to be ranged and AP
