People troll picking and not trying in Ranked is worse than ever.

I get that it's preseason, but there are in every single game I play, someone openly admitting in chat that they are trying to tank their MMR, that they don't care, troll pick a champion completely unfit for the role they've selected, gas lighting you when you politely ask them to please stop trolling to try and make you rage, inting while they either announce they are, or do it so obviously that the enemy team is saying "sry for X".

All this in RANKED....

I can’t say I’ve noticed this too much (Not disputing it though) but what I have noticed is how surrender happy the community has become in Ranked, and I don’t just mean now that it’s preseason, it’s been a problem for awhile. So I guess that ties into not trying. I’ll be the first person to surrender when every lane lost, we’re down 30 kills with no dragons and all our inhibs are down, but people are forfeiting legitimately close games these days. I had a game just a couple days ago where we were down probably 6 or 7 kills, only barely losing in objectives, and my team surrendered As soon as we lost one inhibitor, forcing me to take the LP loss for a game that was almost even and I was fed as jinx. People used to only FF ranked in absolutely hopeless games, now people are FFing as soon as something bad happens. Really sick of it.

Why do people keep using the preseason argument when improving your standing now will improve your standing when the reset comes? There are still obvious incentives to keep playing seriously.

Wait for season to start, it's a problem now because this is the time most people try new things in ranked and troll because it doesn't matter to them. You can also make use of the report feature (not that it actually does anything lol)

So... how is this any different from any other preseason? Playing ranked in preseason is one of the riskiest things you can do. If you are playing it then expect people to do dumb shit for a variety of reasons. Just report them and move on to play normals for a while and try out new stuff or try to perfect your style/champion. Those are way more useful things to do in preseason than going to ranked
