People troll picking and not trying in Ranked is worse than ever.

I get that it's preseason, but there are in every single game I play, someone openly admitting in chat that they are trying to tank their MMR, that they don't care, troll pick a champion completely unfit for the role they've selected, gas lighting you when you politely ask them to please stop trolling to try and make you rage, inting while they either announce they are, or do it so obviously that the enemy team is saying "sry for X".

All this in RANKED....

I can’t say I’ve noticed this too much (Not disputing it though) but what I have noticed is how surrender happy the community has become in Ranked, and I don’t just mean now that it’s preseason, it’s been a problem for awhile. So I guess that ties into not trying. I’ll be the first person to surrender when every lane lost, we’re down 30 kills with no dragons and all our inhibs are down, but people are forfeiting legitimately close games these days. I had a game just a couple days ago where we were down probably 6 or 7 kills, only barely losing in objectives, and my team surrendered As soon as we lost one inhibitor, forcing me to take the LP loss for a game that was almost even and I was fed as jinx. People used to only FF ranked in absolutely hopeless games, now people are FFing as soon as something bad happens. Really sick of it.

Wait, you're getting surrenders in ranked games that can be turned around. Yet in my normal games that aren't winnable I get the Never Surrender people. Why is this backwards?? [sg-lux-2]

cause normals are viewed as a game where you dont lose anything so why surrender just take the L or so thats what everone makes it seem like

There's also likewise no reason to disable it either. Our MMR's are gonna be soft-reset at the start of S10 as it always is.

Yes it's preseason. You'd think people would stop playing Ranked if it doesn't matter to them instead of tanking their, and everyone they queue with's, MRR for literally no reason other than they can.

Why do people keep using the preseason argument when improving your standing now will improve your standing when the reset comes? There are still obvious incentives to keep playing seriously.

A lot of players myself included don't like starting the season with a higher rank. I enjoy the grind i don't want to start gold, i want to start iron. I don't play ranked in pre-season but i often off-role my placements. I do wish we had the option to hard reset our mmrs

It would be a nightmare. Imagine if a new player play the game and he found all iron IV smurf that hard resetted their mmr, what do you think the new player could do? Also let's imagine a challenger hard reset his secound plat acc to iron and contibue to hard reset to find real iron IV player for having fun. It should never happen, you shouldn't belong to iron if you aren't really bad. You would get a hard gap between the worst and the best helo where iron and challenger became the same thing.

The point of ranked is to climb higher then you placed last year. Hard crashing your MMR is literally the same effect as smurfing. It ruins new players (what few I'd imagine there are, these days.) By being pitted up against someone with experience. Quit ruining other people's games ya selfish clown.

Wait for season to start, it's a problem now because this is the time most people try new things in ranked and troll because it doesn't matter to them. You can also make use of the report feature (not that it actually does anything lol)

So... how is this any different from any other preseason? Playing ranked in preseason is one of the riskiest things you can do. If you are playing it then expect people to do dumb shit for a variety of reasons. Just report them and move on to play normals for a while and try out new stuff or try to perfect your style/champion. Those are way more useful things to do in preseason than going to ranked
