How does one Ivern at low ranks?

title, basically. I like the idea of Ivern and I'd like to play him more when autofill puts me in jungle (yes, I tend to just fill. most times when I pick a role it always seems to end up with my team fighting either for my role or over another, so I just fill. I find I win games marginally more often that way.)

Anyway, I'd like to play him more, and I definitely see where he's amazing, but....it seems like regardless of what I do, or the items I build, down here in bronze/silver it just...apparently isn't enough somehow. like he's got cc and utility for days, and I know it can be used well, but for the skill level down here, what items should I be building? what should I be maxing? Should I even be bothering to play him?

I definitely wonder about that last question since it seems like I can provide all the roots and slows and such in the world, but it feels like without the extra damage of a more "traditional" jungler I guess, my laners can't seem to get the kill.

So I ask you all: how do I Ivern in Bronze/Silver?

pick the most aggressive of your laners, show up in their lane as often as possible spamming all of your abilities with him.

dont bother anywhere else, they'll have no idea how to play around ivern. at least you can give your riven for instance a perma slow and a shield to basically win against anyone else top lane.

He can def be played in lower elo! The only thing is b/c ivern is a support/utility jungler you rely on having good team mates, that being said you can def climb with him. The main thing to note with his build is that he doesnt build a jungle item.

Starting Items:item 2031 item 1039

The Build: item 3158 > item 3107 >item 3174 > item 3190 > item 3109 > item 3504

The only modifications you could make to his build depending on the circumstance is get GA instead of ardent, abysall instead of ardent, or a zz rot instead of ardent, that being said ardent last is the best option.

Also for your skills: lvl 1: Q lvl 2: E lvl 3: W

then you max E first, then Q and W last. (R is obvi).
