two Champions that need at least some form of Update, but not a full rework

Title says it all, except not explicitly and explained.

some champions are really consistently a sore thorn in everyone's eye and should be given attention to some changes of a form.

MonkeyKing He's one of the recent high popular salt threat topics you see on the boards, and for good reason. He has a lot of unique Tools and is a great champion who doesn't feel too shitty to fight against. But one look at him and you instantly notice one Thing, his passive is nonexistently useless and conditional. It gives you bonus Armor and MR whenever a champion is within a vicinity of roughly 700 Units from you, BUT it gives you no neutral value whatsoever. meaning to make use of it you have to dive the enemy team 5v like a stupid monkey (heh) and even then you lose the bonus again if champs die. Besides the boring linear and decisionfail-bait-ish surface of it, wukong's passive is also one of the Things riot has publicly announced to hate THE most: Stat checking.

Get this. They reworked shyvana just to get rid of her old passive which was similar to wukongs, gave bonus mr and armor from gamestart till the end, which grew with your lvl. Same with Diana, mini reworked her JUST to get rid of the passive attack speed. They nearly deleted Vlad from the game, one of the major reasons being because his passive empathised stat checking.

Riot has made a very clear message that they want to remove or minimize stat checking if it is integrated within a passive. Makes us really wonder why they waited so long with wukong.

Nocturne Speaking of stat check, this guy is the biggest surviving sinner as of yet. his Q and his W passive. His Kit as a whole fits the thematic he represents. A Being from a nightmare that you cannot escape because it chases you down (Q speed up and R) That dreads you by making your resistance futile (W) and who scares you quite literally into death (E).

BUT, as much as his kit in itself is satisfying, fair and fulfilling for the power Fantasy, he has SO MUCH stat checking in his kit that to Play nocturne to perfection it makes you feel like you require a fucking PHD in mathematics.

His Passive proc Needs a Damage indicator for noc Players (Like Kha Q has it) and his E Needs a describtion on just how much movement speed you get when you walk towards feared Targets.

Then his W passive Needs a good change. The attack speed feels so random, and since nearly noone builds nocturne as an onhit hypercarry but as an assassin, it is also heavily out of place. Nocturne's W should have something that feels more relevant, that actually lets you feel a difference when you get the spellshield procd corretly. That or just remove the manacosts and raise the cooldown by a bit. His W should either have a more impactful noticable effect or it should be balanced around the perfect good use of the spellshield in itself.

With his Q he would Need something else as a descriptive means for the bonus he gets when he is inside the shadow Trail. i'd change the flat ad he gets into a growing % bonus damage dealt to Targets inside it (Or struck by it in the case of a champion) Maybe something like 4% / 5.5% / 7% / 8.5% / 10% increased damage to still give him this Little boost but remove the aspect of stat checking.

Note, this post does not anyhow imply These champions are weak by all means. Wukong is actually relatively strong right now and Nocturne has his moments fairly often. but These champions do have Elements in their kit that feels......unwanted. that is by meaning and gameplay ethics not meant to be there. They really just Need to be looked at once and receive appropriate care. But other than those points they should remain the same.

What do you guys think? Leave a comment explaining why they should, or why they should not, receive proper changes for the lackluster parts in their kit.

I think Runes Reforged rejuvenated Nocturne. I retired that champ many years ago, and now I find myself maining him this preseason.

I don't think he needs any kind of a minor rework. MAYBE a few quality of life buffs, but I don't really think he needs them. If anything though, Umbrablades could heal more or more often(His clears aren't the healthiest). Q Trail could give him vision. Q Trail could allow him to avoid unit collision.

Wukong could probably go with a new passive.

However, I have to say, that Nocturne is slipping into the same barrel as champions like Nunu and Shaco. He's old af and could use some hard changes. His thematic is there, he just needs a lot more work to really fit a play style of "living nightmare". I honestly think he's on the same level as Irelia in that sense, but I feel he's probably on the lower end of priority. (He's not mechanically broken, just a little too item dependant)

I don't play or even enjoy either of these champs, but damn could Nocturne use some love.

He have nothing unique. And thats said, u don't feel too shitty against him cause this champ isn't good.

His passive isn't his only issue. He need a full rework, not a half asses rework like shyvana. He need something like Talon update.

Funny like the one speaking only about his passive don't even play him

I love both these champions, and I too wish that Riot would give them some development time.

Wukong - He is mostly alright but I wish he delivered better on his theme of "monkey trickster" and his passive definitely needs a reboot.

Nocturne - I have no idea what to change, but he definitely needs modernization and some better ways to do his job.

Because Riot never finishes what they say they want. They're like a little kid. One day they want this, the next they want that befoer they even finish playing/balancing their original wants.

Look at anything and everything they've ever said for proof. The latest being assassins. They wanted assassins to have counter play.... sot hey made the new eve, and re worked a few assassins, but not all of them, yous till got Fizz, Zed, etc. who can insta delet eyou in .5 seconds, Riven who can anim cancel the shit out of herself to delete you in .5 seconds... and they're onto something else...

Riot never finishes what they start, or keep their word. They pretend to balance something, do a half assed job of it, fuck up what they do touch, then move onto something else.

As a nocturne main I can perfectly say I am one of those on hit non assassin Nocturnes.

His W passive and his actual passive go hand and hand.

All of Nocturne's abilities, minus the ult, have extreme counterplay.

All the nightmare needs is slightly lower mana costs.

MonkeyKing could use just GU ,but I don't see Nocturne getting away with it,if Noc becomes even close to good he's will be really annoying to face.
