How are you supposed to have fun in this game?

If you play ranked and you play something that's the least bit off meta, people report you, flame you, etc., even if you're in the most popular lane for your champion.

If you play normals, the game ends in 15-20 minutes regardless of game state because one team surrenders. Sometimes it's even the team that's ahead that surrenders. (Side note, surrendering a game while ahead should be considered intentionally feeding. In fact it's worse than inting or AFK, because there's at least a slim margin to win when someone on your team is inting or AFK. Surrendering a game is a 100% loss rate every single time.)

How do you get to build some items and actually play?

People surrender because they aren't having fun more often than they surrender because they are losing. The mental state of the game is this: I either dominate and am having fun or I am trolling to have fun. So just because one team is ahead doesn't mean 4 of them aren't having a shitty time.

It's not about playing off meta that's fine you have to be contributing to the team though.

I play reksai jungle and never get shit on and she is garbo these day but I pull my weight.
