Does Team Builder Mirror match on purpose?

My last 4 Ahri games were against Ahri. Quinn against Quinn (seriously who else plays Quinn?). And god knows how many Caitlyn vs Caitlyn games I've had.

It often seems due to 1) Free week champs people are trying in Team Builder before taking them to other queues, and 2) Certain champs simply being more popular in Team Builder because the players have trouble getting the same role in other queues.

I believe I can answer this. Both ahri and quinn were recently on free weeks and sales and multiple people are trying them out in team builder while the new rift is up. I haven't had my character matched once in the last week. I'm sure it's coincidental.

to be fair, quinn is free right now so theres probably a lot more ppl playing her

ahris just a really popular mid. dunno what else may have caused that other than dumb luck.

I wonder the same thing i've played so many mirror matches in TB (when i used it) thing i hate.

And one of the reasons why i stopped playing it

It is just luck of the draw. Free Week champions are probably why, as what Velasan said. The only real time I ran into mirror matchups is when I was playing OP things like Lucian and such.
