"Why or why not would you like to recommend this game to a friend"

I got asked this question in a survey today. It got me thinking. No.. I actually do not want to recommend this game to a friend. It suprised me a bit, since I for years have tried to recruit some gaming friends to this game. But not anymore.

I realized, that the last 8 months of Riot politics, and with all the arguments Riot has made, it became clear.

Riot dosent want me as a player. I am a solo player, and solo players are discriminated in every aspect of the game. Riot are enforcing a social play policy where single players are not wanted. Allowed, yes. Especially if they pay for it. However, we are as welcome as single men in a swingers party.

So give me one reason at all as a single player to recommend this game to anyone else?

Whenever I see that question, I say LoL can be a great game if a) you're willing to invest a fair amount of time into getting good and b) if you can handle the occasional toxic player. If you meet criteria A and B then I'd recommend it, otherwise I'd tell them to go play an FPS.

I'm more concerned about the new player experience, if anything.

That part alone is fairly self-explanatory and it's good enough to make new players not want to play the game.
