Yo guys, pre 5.24 patch, I remember a lot of adcs were being played in solo lanes, like Quinn and Graves hell even Lucian so my question is, if a patch buffed those champs back up, would pros pull em back into competitive play?

you are talking abt adc going solo lanes in LCS? no Why? Go watch IMT vs TSM spring split semi finals.

Shorter version: Tank > adc at solo lanes. In solo Q heck anything can happens so idk lmao but I still think tank > adc at other role like top jg mid they dont offer as much as other champs in other roles

Go watch IMT vs TSM summer split and see how even huni said he doesnt like tank champ and he didnt play tank champ against other team but against tsm he has to.

The reason is top tank will always better than adc, adc top only works in solo Q and stay in solo Q. TL got smashed cause they r bad comparing to IMT

Go watch others IMT match, huni always go full dmg even on ekko top, its ap ekko not tank ekko. Just showing that only TSM that huni has to play tank cause they know dmg champ wont works holololo

spring split, huni has beaten everybody with Quinn except for the last game against darshan's team. He not only smashed TL, he beat every other team before that and after playing as a marksman. He also rofl stomped and finished off the entire TL team with a penta kill. Did you watch that?

Please stop siding IMT and saying how they were gods that beaten everyone, they were 3rd place cause they didnt read the meta, rolf doublelift penta IMT and IMT was playing tank rolf ur point?

that was after the nerfs on the marksman but before, he beat everyone with Quinn Top and utterly stomped TL with a Penta. Did you watch that match? TL was dangling on the rope and Huni just finished them off all of them with a 5 man kill. And he was playing a marksman!

Stuff you watch on LCS is not solo Q, they actually communicate and practice like cray in order to do those things. ADC for mid and top is just bad in solo Q since so many other champs offer so much more than them and can carry harder.

I mean you can go quinn/lucian/graves top or mid, but they just not that effective.

They are not normal players, they practice, its their lives, their job to play good. We are just normal players, and they belong to 0.01% of the player base in LoL.

Huni team just shiet on TL at spring, they went undefeated and dominate almost every single game its not suprising that Huni got a penta. Still you cant deny the fact that adc top mid is just worse than other champs.

If they are good, you would have seen them everywhere in SOLO Q

AFAIK Quinn and Graves are still fairly popular picks in solo lanes, though others such as Lucian and Tristana aren't overly common anymore.

As for competitive play... Nobody knows, but I'd say "probably."

twitch is seing quite a lot of play in the jungle recently. and ive also seen high ranked games (around challenger) with varus mid.

with graves still jungling, double adc comps are happening all the time.

One: get this constant Quinn obsession out of your head mate.

Two: while marksmen in multiple lanes can still work in soloQ, in professional play it is very different. First is that due to lane swaps, teams can completely bypass the weak laning most tanks have against Quinn, and by taking away her early bully stage, she becomes next to useless. Second is that the pro meta is extremely unfriendly to Quinn right now: you've got bruiser/engage tops, tank jungle, tanky mids, shield/healing supports. Bruisers can fight with Quinn, and will often beat her due to their higher bases at early levels (and the strength and low cost of early armor makes them even harder to beat), she can't assassinate the jingle or mid due to their defense stats, and the support keeps the ADC alive with shields and heals.

Stop looking at a single game from a team that no one knew how to play against yet. IMT succeeds by the talent of their players alone, something that is starting to not work as well as other teams catch up to them or bypass them completely in skill (like TSM). At equal skill, superior comps and team play are much stronger. IMT has an easily punishable play style of always on, always aggressive, something that is easily punishable with the know how.

patch 5.23 was last season , was that before or after the marksmen rework? before or after the mastery changes? we are pushing 6.16 patch so that was like ages ago.
