Building Mordekaiser?

If I'm correct, Mordekaiser's the ONLY AP juggernaut in the game and goes mid, do I build him tank or AP? I've been thinking a Juggernaut would be pretty safe for this meta.

I play him top mid or Bot and go for something like this: item 3116 item 3151 item 3146 item 3053 And the last item being up to preference, I either go for GA, Randuins or SV

Wait he STILL goes ADC? That's quite the odd build for a champ tho.

His W synergy gives him enough to movement speed to catch slowed eneemies, Gragas and Braum are his favorite lane partners (Leona too maybe?).

Rylai and Liandry are needed because of the high synergy ebtween them (Rylai is a must on morde) and being HP/AP items, Gunblade gives a bit more sustain and a targeted slow useful to catch ppl away from your E range. Sterak is instead a defensive tool, Morde stays a lot in aifght because of his lack of mobility and wants to stick on enemies, the shield grants him more safeness while doing so and the AD stat still is a boon to his Q damage.

May you explain EXACTLY how gunblade works? I find it a little confusing.

  • AP and Ad contribute to Morde damage (Q, E and Ghost all have AD scalings too).
  • It's pasisve (15% heal from all source of damage) helps Morde sustain which is a must for a hp-cost champion.
  • It's active is a targeted damaging and slowing projectile which damage scales with your AP and has a longer range than Morde E which helps him closing the gap between a rather far enemy.

That's all.

Ah okay, btw how does he hold up in this meta?

Generally speaking, not so good.

He needs to get ahead somehow and get as many dragons as possible, in this way he becomes a force and can frontline a lot of teamfights if the team is with him. Lategame he becomes a monster if enemies stay in his attack range but he suffers a lot from CCs and kiting so you need ppl who can get the finishing blow and others to initiate a fight.

He can be succesful and can fail, it depends a lot and maybe Malicious Metal can help you more since he reached high enough to talk about it.

I was just in a game, where we had a Darius jg questioning if I even knew how to play Morde....I should be questioning his stupid ass about jg Darius.

I only play him ADC because a friend of mine mains support and it's pretty fun that way. Also, another buddy of mine plays top and mid so I'm basically forced to go bot in normals.

He isn't really mid viable while moreover as a top laner or the "Riot's intended" ADC role, as he lacks the amount of burst damage he can do against ranged mages, mobility & safety against mobile assasins or junglers, and his E damage being reduced compared to his pre-work.

Just gunna...put this here for notifications. cause idk either [slayer-pantheon-popcorn] But I feel item 3116 is a must since your so slow and your uult is an ability, both the curse and the ghost, and another tip is the ghost is an exact copy. keeps the items and passives, this includes things like what stance Udyr is in from the persistent effect passive,so remember what every passive does I guess xD but this doesn't work with things like Karthus passive. but it ODDLY still does a voice line when it dies
