I do find it interesting that Ashe is drawing all this attention and desire for buffs when Varus is very close to being strictly worse. Less auto range. Shorter range ult that roots instead of stuns. More mana gating. Worse AD and AS scaling.

On the plus side, you do get:

Two long range skillshots...but Ashe still gets more volleys than Varus gets Q+Es because base cooldowns.
20% AS steroid on minion kill...but Ashe will get the same amount of AS on all the time due to her superior AS scaling.
Blight stacks, which do a decent amount of magic damage. Highly debatable that this is more valuable than Ashe's slow and gold passives.

I am absolutely baffled that Varus hasn't been buffed in forever. He's got a healthy kit and it's all skillshots, so it's got plenty of counterplay. Rito plz.

I don't think Ashe needs buffed. Seriously. I think Lucian, Vayne, Kalista, and Draven all need straight damage nerfs, and I think Twitch needs a buff. But the rest are fine.

Twitch is one of the few ADCs that can regularly get pentas if his team plays right. His dueling potential is terrifying. He doesn't need buffs.

Twitch's thing is jumping out of the jungle into a teamfight while stealthed, yes? What on earth stops lucian/Caitlyn/Graves/Kalista/Vayne from just going over the Raptor wall, for instance?

"It's inconvenient"? Sure, but a penta is worth it.
"It's requires more planning than just walking up"? Not really, and it doesn't change the odds of getting the penta.
"You could do it wrong"? Yeah, like no Twitch has ever walked up to a teamfight when stealthed, gotten noticed, and then instakilled.

What he does isn't something the rest of the ADCs can't or don't do, and he needs a freaking attack speed/damage buff to compensate.

Yeah, he's obviously outclassed by every other ADC in the game if the pros consistently picked him. I mean, they have no idea what they're doing.

All of the champs are strong in some way; doesn't mean they don't need buffed or nerfed.

You don't see the pros picking champs like Lissandra, Urgot (after Soraka's rework, anyway), or Veigar when LCS comes around. There's this thing called the meta, and certain champs are strong in it. Buffing them causes people to only play them, and is the cause of a stupid amount of "QQ plz nerf plox" threads. How do you not get this? Buffing already strong champs is idiotic.

Some champs are garbage in the current meta. You don't see many pros picking Ashe, even with a good team comp, because she's so subpar unless she's picked into a specific team comp and against a certain team comp.

She's fine, but people use poorly/waste it by being greedy.

At best there is an argument to do with her q what they did with Sivir w (make it apply bonus dmg/steroid but lasts for limited number of hits and has CD rather than toggle).

Is there anyone that doesn't think that this is Riot's stance after they released Kalista, who can kite much better than Ashe and doesn't rely on a slow to do so, basically giving people no reason to play Ashe aside from her ult and W? Seriously, she's the new Queen of Kiting, since gapclosing bruisers don't inherently ruin her ability to kite.
