Ekko and fizz are being played as full tanks in lcs.

Can these guys get some changes ASAP. Please. There is something wrong when assasins have enough utility to be played as tanks.

Bruiser Fizz is still hella strong. It's actually still better than AP Fizz in my opinion. Fighter Fizz top is literally my best champion at the moment. And no, it has nothing to do with cinderhulk or challenging smite in my opinion. After giving that a trial I am preferring teleport/ignite combo, so I have an early summoner, and do not have to invest gold into the jungle item to unlock it, making my fizz's AD/hp/resist weaker. Lose if I buy it, lose if I don't. It's more of a late game thing, but it delays core items, and is only so slot efficient even at the end of the game. The burn aura doesn't really synergize with how Fizz fights.

I suppose teleport/smite gets Fizz to level 2. Levels 1 and 2 are very weak points for Fizz. But what I do to counter this level 1 camp strat is proxy the first minion wave. Anyone with teleport/smite is obviously thinking of doing a camp, and they're usually idiotic enough to do one not near their top lane, which means it is safe to proxy. When you proxy their first wave, your own wave crashes into their tower immediately and they lose the wave, making their level 1 camp a complete wash. If you leave one of their ranged creeps up from the first wave you proxy, you just set up the lane to start pushing back toward you as you recall after proxying the first wave. 7 enemy minions versus your 6....

Fighter Fizz is very strong because he has 2 gap closers, strong mixed damage dps & burst that cannot be countered by one resistance type, and a god like level 9 and 11. He'll even scale well into late game. It's still kind of off the radar, but it's very strong but I'd hate to see it go. I'll have you know I rank up W 3 times by level 5 even as AP Fizz (E still maxed @ 10). Don't gut W too much

i love it, because i don't even need to build damage first off i get my mix damage rune, with scaling health and i build a banshees or frozen heart and i still massively gut people with w :)

There is no reason to play AP fizz anymore. Unless fed it is really hard to get a kill without his ult. There are other mids that just do his job better and safer.

What is wrong with low damage mobile tanks? I would rather play vs fizz tank then a Maokai .

Eh.

I don't find a huge problem in champions have multiple building paths (I'd rather have tank Ekko viable instead of assassin Ekko being the only viable build) as long as it's not overbearing. I can see why LCS players would play tank Ekko for the safety he offers as well as the utility, same reason midlaners like Zed and Ori were popular before.

And, well, the only LCS game I saw with Ekko (I don't watch a lot...), he just fed. I think i was tank Ekko, considering he didn't die like tissue paper despite being 0/something.

Ekko can be a viable tank because he has two sloe aoes, a self heal, and percent health damage. He won't be doing good damage, but he'll be doing more than your average Malphite/Nautilus.

Fizz is a little odd though. All he has is an unreliable AoE knockup and a bit of a slow.

Well, you dont need a lot of utility to be played as a tank.

Have you seen Cowsep on full tank MasterYi ?

"Full tank" with BORK and FM + prenerf Cinder... His full tank with no dmg games are trolling like 1000 AP Nasus etc game, where he only feeds

Well, you dont need a lot of utility to be played as a tank.

You either need insane CC, super high base damage, or a combination of both.

Yi is far from an ideal champion to be played tank, it works in solo-que but if anyone took it into the competitive scene it wouldn't work because it's far to easy to ignore.

The problem with Fizz is Challenging Smite, and it's something of a problem with Hec too.

It might get looked at. Emphasis on might, because it's pretty much the only way Fizz is actually seeing play these days.

I imagine the Ekko nerfs in 5.12 will be kicking in soon as the competitive scene switches patches, and he'll disappear from the jungle entirely.

Been playing Ekko Top exclusively. I hate taking him mid. Bruiser Ekko with Gauntlet and FH get really annoying. Build a thornmail for those pesky adcs and you get free kills. Early game is a hell to get through though. I'll take any assassin and build them a tank if I wanted to. Its possible. Hence the current meta diversity.

Fizz's slow isn't up constantly, and neither is his knockup. He's not overbearing and these pros don't get nearly as many kills or map pressure as AP/AD Fizz players in solo que. NO tank Ekko or tank Fizz in my solo que games (or the featured games I've watched) have been overbearing. Honestly I would hate to have them on my team when they could have built damage to help gib people, but I see no reason to complain about them being played as tanks by players trying to earn a paycheck.

I have conflicting views on this, especially for Fizz. On one hand, i dont mind when off builds are 'meta', or people find the optimal build. For example, look at Kogmaw - everything about his ratios say 'AP carry', but the on hit % max health damage is why people build him ADC. Same with Fizz - everything about his ratios says 'AP Carry', but the execute damage is why people can build him AS/Bruiser. Same with AP Malphite vs Tank Malphite. Nid. Eve. Shaco. Teemo.

On the other hand, a full tank fizz does some insane damage for litte/no offensive items.

Don't forget XinZhao Nocturne . I was actually excited with these weird picks before, but soon turns out to be yet another boring Cinderhulk Tank jungle builds all over again.

I think tank Fizz is fine. Not Ekko and all of his stupid shields and heals though

as a former fizz main, i think he needs a rework at this point

fulltank fizz has like a 10%winrate because he doesnßt do anything later on if his team doesnßt snowball... ekko though really shouldnßt have a 2,25sec AoE-stun that allows him to always win a fight if he hits it, no matter how stupid the build.
