When does your rank from last season disappear from public rollover?

I posted this before in Misc, but I guess I forgot the serious tag.

So I refuse to drag the good name and 'actual' rank of my main account through the dark mockery of the current league ranked ladder sham, however, my bronze rank is still appearing when I hover over my account.

Will this disappear at some point after I stop playing ranked or what?!
