Well, what do YOU propose we do?

The dreaded 4v5's, the fabled 3v5's, the mythological 2v5's, and the LEGENDARY 1v5's.

They've all happened at some point and they all have something in common:

It ruins everyone's gaming experience.

.

  • You might count your blessings if you're on the team with 5, but you still know it's not a fair game.

  • And when you're on the team of 4 or less, you wonder to the rito gods "WHY, WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN".

League has a new leaver-buster system, though it doesn't seem like it really makes any difference at all. It seems like it's more stingy now than ever.

I'm convinced that to make riot SERIOUSLY improve the system, we all need to band together with our ideas and upvotes and views.

  • The ideas have to be present in order for riot to have something to work with
  • The ideas need to actually get noticed, hence the upvotes (perhaps I'm mistaken, but I picture every great idea that riot notices back at riot central happening something like this: "meep, this thread has a lot of upvotes. meep!"..."meep, a lot of upvotes! meep, maybe we should consider this idea, meep!")

.

So if you like playing league of legends, and hate afk-ers and leavers, make some noise - in this thread. Make the noise in this thread! Or some other thread. But make the noise all in one thread!

Consider this your chance to help make a difference!

the LEGENDARY 1 v 5's?

bitch fking please, 1 v 9's

when your entire team cant do shit but go negative that the very act of leaving the fountain is assisting the enemy team

THATS DREADED

Ahahah, yeah those are awful. But at least in those games, there's an even playing-ground with the team numbers. A 1v9 is no more winnable than a 1v8, or a 1v7 etc. :-P

Only thing I think could be done about getting dealt a bad team is bringing back the old system, where higher elo people got higher priority in the pick-order

IMO Increasing gold by 5g/s per ally "not in the game" is a great idea.

Its not abusable because its over time, and it stops being helpful in the lategame (when you can, conceivably, 4v5)

I hadn't thought of that one, sounds interesting! The problem I have with everything, is seeing why things might not work. But perhaps you could think of a work-around?

The scenario I think of though, is...so mid game arrives, and your team is doing mostly ok, with exception to your 0-7-0 support, whom is doing awful.

So your team says, "Okay, take a leave, Zilean!", and he disconnects for 5-10 minutes, then comes back. He does this because he knows he probably won't be of use to his team at this stage of the game (fed lee sin already has a sightstone), and leaving will give them all a substantial gold bonus to 4v5 the other team when otherwise he probably would have fed the other team more gold.

So he comes back for the beginning of late game, knowing that he'll catchup in level very quickly after being around a few waves - and they win the game because supports don't really 'need' gold, and their Zilean took a bullet for the team.

I dont think people would do that, but honestly, you could just add an automatic flag for someone who leaves a game for ten minutes then comes back.

Mostly the increased g/10s would be helpful in the early game, for those leavers who just leave after losing first blood to a level 1 all in like riven or renekton...

True most people probably wouldn't do that.

While helping a 4v5 team out by increasing their g/10 might help even the odds, could that possibly give more people incentive to leave a game? "Eff this game, I don't even want to play it because i'm in a losing lane...well leaving isn't so bad, they get a gold bonus for me leaving"

Thus creating more leavers. (I feel like that's how riot would probably see it)

Note, I think the idea would do more good than harm. But I'm not the one that needs to be swayed :[
