You claim that you are trying to make support more fun and engaging. But you have done absolutely nothing to make this role better. Not one thing.
Why not ask what would make this role more fun.
Ooh, totally disagree. I've made a lot of suggestions on these Boards over the years, and many of them came to fruition. Just for clarity, I'm not saying Rioter listened to me, in particular, but they clearly paid attention to the ideas floating around on the Boards.
I asked for cheaper items so that supports wouldn't have their stuff nerfed because of top lane. Done
I asked for a healing/shielding item for supports so that they didn't have to rely on AP scaling. Done
I asked for sightstone removal so we had a free slot for an item that would actually be useful. Done
So, perhaps instead of complaining that Riot never pays attention to what we want... why don't you just tell them what we want and trust them to see it? Make a thread about the changes you want to see, and see what happens.
Some of us actually enjoy playing support because of the impact it has on the game. I think it has more global impact on the game than any role aside from JG. You have to understand not everyone wants the role changed. There are a lot of people complaining about support on these boards but I believe theyre the minority. Its a fun role and I know snowballing botlane is putting two enemies behind every game and if I play well it makes the game easier for the ADC who can just farm their items and carry late.
Have you bothered to try telling them?
