I played with TheStrzelba which is first rakan world on multiple ocassions yesterday. He already plays full AP rakan. He was one shoting multiple members with AP support rakan inside CC + he can shield people....

Q AP ratio is going up by 0.1 W AP ratio is going up by 0.2

  • E Dash range increase by 100 (unless its xayah)

Look I am not saying Rakan doesnt need a buff. But increasing AP ratio is literaly the worst way you can buff him

#Be prepared for HOTFIX because this is coming out on 8.6

Well they can't really buff his base values or "tankan" will become an issue.

The last buff is fine for example they can live it at that

I feel like I need more of this spicy AP support rakan in my life.

If people actually start playing AP rakan as a solo laner, people will probably appropriately respect his power and limit the amount he snowballs most of the time. Currently people probably see rakan in a solo lane and brush it off as someone trolling and don't respect his burst, then he gets fed, and then it's too late.

Besides the power of random AP rakan players, he's also already somewhat effective in pro play where they really can capitalize on coordinating around rakans plays, so I'm wary of what will happen in pro with even small buffs of any sort.

Solo lane rakan has no chance due to lack of waveclear. What has chance is support rakan buying AP from his free gold items and somehow one shoting people

I was kinda shocked when I saw rakan one shot 2 people from 1500 range... I am here only to warn Riot because they have no idea what is going on with this champ

I addressed solo lane rakan since about half of the rakan games the person you linked played were actually as solo lane rakan. Presumably protobelt is used to overcome his waveclear issues, or his w packs enough punch given enough AP that they get by, but in any case they seem to be managing at challenger elo.

Still, if full AP support rakan gains traction, people will probably learn to give him a pretty wide berth before he gets to spicy one shot levels, instead of just being mildly annoyed by his cc.

Not saying it won't potentially be an issue, but it's hard to gauge how much of that persons success to due to AP rakan actually being a strong choice, and how much is people not having any experience in playing against it so not doing so correctly.

Its incrediblity difficult to play correctly against ap rakan.

He is essentially Zoe/Le blanc level of Range one shoter who hard ccs everything on his path Twice, then jumps over his teammates shield healing them

So far I still havent faced him in mid I ll update if I do

His early game is bad tho, so I snowballed the game to a point where we had 6k gold lead which is hard to comeback from in high elo, but he is without a doubt the strongest support with items in a game

I mean this buff ll put him up there on Janna / Lulu level
