What do you guys think about Syndra?

Took a break from the game and when i come back i notice that this season burst seems to be really strong, of course not that strong vs tanks, but i find my self getting deleted as an adc so quickly i often feel like i can't play the game anymore if certain champs get ahead, one now being Syndra .

This champ wasn't a problem for me prior season, but for some reason now she just R clicks me and i just get 1 shot every time, do you guys think shes op or is there something i'm not seeing that makes her balanced?

Unless syndra sets up 3 spheres beforehand she isn't killing you with just her ult and even then she needs to already be fed or higher level than you to do that

Ever since her rework shes been gaining in popularity and it came to a head when she started dominating at worlds. Ever since then she's been FOTM. Now, she does have some ridiculous damages, but there are mages with much higher theoretical level 6 damages Velkoz Xerath but those don't see much play and are much more reliant on landing skillshots than Syndra is. Also, the hitboxes on her abilities are broken atm, which is why she doesn't take too much effort to play properly.

Her damage hasn't really changed much since before her rework, likely even less bursty than before without her ult, and it's also due to how many ADCs simply don't build any MR items when playing against her. Although, it has gotten significantly easier to land that burst this season after numerous bug fixes and the max level W change.

Other burst mages can kill you just as quickly if they get ahead, or even quicker, so it's likely a problem of a lack of MR to mitigate the damage. Sure it may cut into your damage, but something like item 3102 will be helpful.

And I can see ADCs building Edge of night/whatever the new spellshield assassin's item is called in order to prevent them from getting bursted at the start of a fight.

Gonna be real, I find Orianna to be much stronger than Syndra . She can one shot you just as easily and it feels like her abilities are harder to predict and dodge.
