What champs will land Arcane Comet
In the upcoming rune rework, who can CC or block enemies long enough to land hits from arcane comet? I'm thinking, in no particular order:

Seems like a pretty good list. Could probably add Lux, and possibly Annie to that list as well. Lux has a root and slow and Annie has a respectable stun.
I'm hoping slows will be reliable enough so
Force Pulse
It'll be like the good old days when it actually did damage!
And...
(lmao)

Not saying it'll be the best keystone for all of those champs but it's kinda crazy to notice how many champions might be able to use it.

Any champ can use it pretty sure. Doesn't mean it is good on them.
Comet is best for snipe mages like Xerath and Lux, or snipe Adc like Jhin.
It's not really meant to be paired with short range champions. It's a weird replacement for DFT that poke champions like Xerath, Ziggs, and Varus can use for repeated additional damage on long range hits. Doesn't need to land and honestly it won't matter until late game anyway. The CD is short so just keep on hitting them abilities, and if it misses it's not the end of the world as it deals like less than 100 damage until you get atleast 3 damage items.
I disagree. The damage is roughly the same strength most of the game relative to average champ hp.
I think tanks with all the cdr on tank items being converted to ap/ad will be some of the biggest beneficiaries of this rune setup
So what's everybody's opinions of comet so far?
Strictly mathematically, if procced off of cooldown it's stronger in terms of DPS than electrocute, but eletrocute is nearly triple the strength in singular all ins. Here's my point of contention with it. Arcane Comet is a poke tool, but you only land it if you CC your enemy. If you're CCing your enemy they're extremely vulnerable to an all-in or extended trade. The majority of champions that can reliably land comet are also going to reliably land electrocute. It seems like Comet is just a small penalty for champions that would like to take electrocute, but need all 3 tiers of sorcery secondaries and the increased passive stats from taking sorcery as a primary.
I haven't been able to calculate Comet's DPS versus Aerie yet unfortunately.
Side note, although she can't reliably land it,
can land a comet on both the enemy laner and their ghost for some double dip damage.
Why does no one mention bby
:'(
can do it pretty easily if he marks them with an auto then uses W to trigger the root.
