So, double smite comp.

Lately I've been seeing almost every team take two smites, one in jungle one on top lane. So, as a top laner, I grabbed Smite to see what all the hubbub was about.

Smite is crazy strong. Throw it on Gromp early for the poison armor and make early trading shift in your favor. Grabbed Skirmisher's Saber and then the Devourer gem. Ended the game with about 90 magic damage on hit, plus the 40~ true damage from Saber. Shit was silly. Plus, the additional smite meant that we got every dragon and ended with four to the enemy's zero.

'course, I know how much Riot despises non-supports using support items and non-jungle using jungle. Wonder how long until they gut the new jungle items hard enough that only 2-3 champions can effectively clear the jungle?

I think this is exactly what they wanted. I just discovered smite+support. It's fantastic for Relic Shield item 3302, controlling scuttles, and of course that early dragon.

Honestly, I don't mind the idea that other roles can take smite, but I think that smite should have diminishing returns if two people on the same team have it when contesting baron/dragon. It always rather bugged me that smite was the only one that worked in one role only.

I think that there will be no issue as long as Riot implements some kind of diminishing returns on multi-smiting Dragon/Baron, and if they nerf Skirmisher's Sabre. I also think that the Gromp smite passive should only work on monsters.
