How do I beat Vi?

I'm not going to lie to you, I currently hate more than most people on the boards hate , but I'm willing to learn. I'm willing to listen to anyone who know how to beat her. I just find it terribly difficult to beat her because, as a support main, I have a hard time peeling against her because of her one way ticket directly to the back line ult and sort of innate stickiness. I really enjoy playing tank supports and mage supports that aren't Janna, do you guys have any tips to help me fight her?

Aside from the usual "Vision Control" arguments, there are ways to stop her ult. Alistar's Headbutt and Pulverize both, for example, can kick her out of it. Headbutt can also kick people out of a Thresh lantern, incidentally. But timing and knowing she's on the way in are vital to making this work. Any of the "hookers" can grab her out of it (Thresh, Blitz, Nautilus). Sona's ultimate can do some work for it also.

In most cases, I'll see her incoming and we'll be under tower or heading that way. At that point, you're setting a death trap for her to come charging in. Zyra works well for that, but any of the kill Supports can manage it if your carry understands what is happening.

yeah shes really a pig fucker who will be nerfed along with yasuo pretty soon. Zhonyas counters her ultimate. I'm not sure if you can qss it. I'd say the best counterplay is just to BAN IT! :)

Play thresh, flay her out of her q. win. It's one of the easiest matchups in the world. Also just q where she will come out of ult at the second she lands and thats useless too. Basically pick thresh.

Taric works surprisingly well against her I find you can usually stun her pretty easily and walk away even after the ult using heals and shields, and his ult counters hers completely if timed right.

Braum works if you land your Q and have backup.

Alistars the biggie because of displacements, and thresh can work too, IIRC his flay cancles vi's ult.

It's been awhile since I've fought her, shes an uncommon pick in my elo but I believe a quicksilver sash can also negate her ult.

mainly just try to keep her from getting 3 hits off and disrupt as much as you can.

The amount of people saying you can "cancel" her ult sums up how I feel about the state of this game.
