Is there any chance of going back to the old Ranked Queue system?

I'm actually finding the 1 dimensional version of this much harder mainly for the reason I am limited to just 2 roles. I used to focus on being able to play all positions equally well which allowed me to pick my lane based on position and what the enemy team has already done. This dynamic is completely gone leaving no room for adjustment. That's great that people get their choice of their main position, but it has caused it at the detriment of the team as a whole. Players are no longer concerned with learning all roles and are finding themselves boosted when they don't get their primary pick. Additionally, pick order is meaningless now except for the sole purpose of "counter picking". Having been a player that used 4 roles, I find this extremely limiting. What's to say that Jungle isn't a better option for a certain game when I'm picking Top/Mid? And lets face it "fill" is a joke that puts you 95% in support. Why can't we just click boxes up to a max of 5 saying "what roles would you like to play?"

I thought the old queue system was basically "who called it first gets it" in which case, you'd have to ask if you could have someone's role. I don't see why you can't just ask players for their role in the current system any less than you could in the previous system?

Also,

fill = fill

fill =/= random

so ya, if people need supports, of course fill is gonna = supports

What significance did pick order have in the previous queue? I don't get it?

Pick order allowed you to migrate from your intended position based on your teams needs or how the enemy team picks. Lets say you're pick 2 blue and intended to go mid. But then enemy team picks a champ top that you know you can beat. Assuming #1 didn't take top, that gives you the choice now to counter pick to your ability. The new system doesn't allow that. Yes people can trade roles still, but the amount of trading is significantly less than in the previous.

Alright, that's a fair enough explanation and I can understand why people would miss that aspect. Personally, I wouldn't want it that way but it's all about opinions I suppose, I only started playing around S5 and so I never really did much ranked (still don't, but still)

I personally enjoyed the old system more, because If I didn't get mid I'd go support happily. However If i do that now I get support 80% of the time.

Most of the best players were never concerned with learning all roles though. Ranked has pretty much always been about getting the role (and usually only needing to be really good at a subset of champs in that role) you excel at and doing well in it as opposed to being a 'jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none' type. Sure, it was more important before role selection became a thing, but afaik, if someone could play all roles decently, it usually amounted to 'Mid, but if I'm top, I only play X'.

Pick order was meaningless before anyways because trading didn't really happen that much more often. Sure, maybe you'd rather have last pick mid instead of first pick mid so you can counter but that seems counter-intuitive to the idea that a player should be good in all roles in ranked.
