have their weaknesses, for example, Trynd has bad CC and sucks early game. Also his gapcloser isn't very reliable.
Meanwhile Jax has a reliable targeted gapcloser that can also be used to dash to safety, a stun, a shield and he's strong early mid and late game.

His ult is his shield that gives him 300 mr and armor.
And yes he's strong early if you play him as a jungler, your ganks are god. Also as I said, he has a stun, a shield, hybrid damage, a reliable gapcloser and escape. It's hard to counter him.
Also an ulting trynd in a teamfight late game is a pentakill.

Nobody I play with knows how to kite a Trynd. They just stand there autoattacking while Trynd ults.
Also not many people know how long the ult lasts so we stand there autoattacking and waiting for it to end.

If you play AP Jax you can get a lot of early kills if you time your QW correctly to land the last hit. even if you just have 
then you can get gold to go into mid game
Then mid game you transfer into hybrid.
And then late game you sell AP items to get attack speed items.
WoonStruck1 votesJax is absurdly weak until level 6, where he can actually trade in lane effectively. Even then, he's horrible at anything that isn't 1v1 beating on each other; if you don't let him utilize his attackspeed fully, you pretty much automatically win.
The only time he becomes really threatening is after Trinity Force.
