The main purpose of GA? Makes it a bad idea for assassins to try and all-in you while it's up. Zed bursts you, you reincarnate, he dies when your team's tanks/fighters turn on him.

But if that GA still gets you killed, you were probably out of position or your team got overrun.

If you are relying on GA vs a Zed, you are going to lose faster than you can say "five minute cooldown", because this:

he dies when your team's tanks/fighters turn on him.

doesn't happen, he just taps R again, and he is likely to have Maw and GA just in case.
