You can kill someone instantly after Q with Auto, auto reset W, so pretty much a half second assuming you have around 2.3 attack speed with highlander on.

the yi I fought earlier needed like 10 seconds to kill me. :/ 2.3 attack speed doesn't sound like burst btw.

How are you defining burst exactly.

Also yi should be doing more damage than akali btw, he's a melee carry often referred to as an assassin even though he isn't a formal assassin

Who were you playing? Yi taking 10 seconds to kill someone is very, very unnatural.

Perform the combo I've mentioned fast enough, and yes, you will one shot someone. A formal oneshot yi build looks like this though
