Yorick doesn't build black cleaver?

So I was told Yorick SHOULDN'T build black cleaver by a Lv.7 Yasuo who was also Lv.6 with Yorick, why exactly should he not? because his minions build it up so fast.

Because Yorick's AD scalings are crap and he can't make full use of the black cleaver procs.

Meanwhile triforce gives sheen, attack speed, with the same CDR, same movement speed bonus from phage, less health, less AD.

That is very true, but the question is should you and the general answer is almost always no because it costs a huge surplus of gold on unique passives you can only use once and on stats you don't need.

Attack Speed is more useful on Yorick too because his Ult adds % HP damage to attacks.

Building BC you lose on tower damage, which is main reason to pick Yorick.

That being said, BC is perfectly fine against tanky enemies - in majority of games, TF will be stronger, but BC is a viable situaltional option.

He loses the burst from triforce. He can build BC just fine imo.

At that point I would probably sub Tri force with ICB.

It just seems that Yorick could use the slow for chasing down targets. (given he already get's rage from BC )

cleaver is FAR better than triforce if you plan on teamfighting into a tanky opposition

triforce gives him burst for dueling and punching turrets though, and it'll do more vs squishy targets, too

BC for teamfighting against tanky teams, TriFroce is better for split pushing.

Ya only build BC if the enemy team has more then one Tank champ (like Tank top and Tank Jungler or Tank Support)

Other wise item 3078 item 3512 are rush items to Ult and take turrets.

I'd say it's because unless you're in a really tough dueling match up against a durable target, it's largely wasted.

Not only is Triforce or Titanic more effective against squishies, all Cleaver really gives is dueling potential. And if no one can duel you already... kinda a waste. So if a Riven is fucking you up you'd probably want defensive stats or Titanic, as Cleaver will only shred ~15 something armor. Might as well buy a Steraks to amp Triforce damage and stop her burst.

I would also like to add that the Maiden deals magic damage, and autoing the same target shes attacking deals 5-7.5-10 percent max hp, so armor shred isn't as good on him.

Because ghouls are really only Yorick's main threat at a point in the game where he couldn't possibly have a Black Cleaver AKA the early game. Once it hits late game, they die incredibly quickly and you have to rely on the Maiden for damage, which is primarily magic damage. If you are going to get anything that procs off of physical damage on Yorick, it would be item 3812 since then you can get a ton of healing from across the map if you split pushing two lanes with Maiden.

Otherwise, it's just because there are far better items that Yorick can benefit from. He himself just doesn't deal enough physical damage to champions to make him get it over other items most of the time. The only reason most sites will say Yorick deals a ton more physical damage than magic is because his ghouls are constantly attacking minions and other bodies throughout the game.

If they're going to build notable armor, Cleaver. If they're going to be squishy, Trinity.

If you ask anybody on the YorickMains subreddit, they'll tell you to build it against tanky comps or if YOU just need to be tankier. item 1055 / item 1054 are starter items that are better than corruptos on him, corruptos are situational at best. Lastly, champion mastery means nothing, you can get carried and still get mastery 6 (it's rare but it happens). The people that tell you to build like that ALL the time are people that don't know anything but damage and probably feed more than they get fed. Lose more than they win, etc.
