to be quite honest the Q change is a nerf in many many many situations anyway. if you think it was an overall buff you never played veigar more than once or twice.
More importantly, why did they nerf the AP scaling of his R instead of the enemy AP scaling.
All of the veigar changes in patch 5.4 were nerfs. No buffs whatsoever this doesn't compensate it really makes him a ton worse.
riot nerfed veigar because he had an 80% pick/ban in korean lcs as support for his STUN ALONE, because he would frequently flash stun a carry and the whole team would dive to follow up. it was much more reliable than a sona ult and in return, blow up veigar? hes support, hes already done his job if he gets his cage down and your other team mates are the threat now.
it made LCS very boring and LESS PROFITABLE when their tickets dont sell out and advertisers are losing interest. especially when fights are over in under 10seconds. long story short veigar stun was gutted because it was losing riot money, not because of his "unfair advantage" (sorry merc treds banshees veil guardian angel, teleport champs like zed leblanc, any form of long ranged cc like a pull/hook, QSS/scimitar, no none of those things hardcountered a whole champion. and weren't "healty" or "viable" ways to deal with him)
I really really hope riot goes in the right direction for Veigar.
Enemies can now flash through the stun ring. Is that new? I seem to remember they would flash but be stunned on the other side.
If they changed his kit and didn't change the programming of the bot, it's understandable that the bot might misuse it or not use it at all. Veigar bot also uses his E exactly the same way as he did before the changes as well. I don't think he used his Q to stack on minions correctly before the patch anyway. It just appears to me that they didn't adjust the programming to the changes to Veigar
What gutted Veigar was the change to his E which left him vulnerable and incapable of landing his W. The changes to his Q were actually a buff. Is it more difficult to use? Yes. But having the ability to stack more minions or stack a minion ***and *** harass the enemy was a buff.
If the only changes they made were the changes to his Q and the left everything else the same as it was, it would overall be a buff for Veigar
His changes are not a nerf in any way; in fact they're more like a buff. Downvote me all you want as far as I'm concerned this Veigar is more fun to play as.
Veigar Bot still buys Blackfire Torch on Twisted Treeline, as a side note.
The Veigar bot cant even land the stun.

I have veigar bot on my friends list and i have not seen him say a word about it.
I THOUGHT the Veigar bot was acting weird! Glad to know it wasn't my imagination.
Veigar is so bad now....finding a new main :-(
