Need udyr counters. Help? Jax > Udyr or no?

I forgot how much I hate jungling against him, or rather I forget why i tell my self to ban him when i rarely do decide to jungle. For whatever reason, I usually get counterpicked into him when i do jungle so I'd like to know how I can counterpick him so I can stop wasting my ban on him. I personally just find counter jungling him annoying at that his clears are so fast and half the time I counter jungle his camps are already cleared (waste of time), Most of the champions I normally jungle with (Shaco, Sejuani get trashed by him if they try to fight back when he invades them.) Chasing him and actually catching him is also a pain in the ass. Im not saying i want a speedy duelist or anything, Just some general tips on champions that go good against him, or even counter him. I thought about considering picking up Jax again though i havent played him in 2 seasons, and I know he's been nerfed so is he bad against udyr now?

If you want a jungler that can handle Udyr, play Elise or Kindred. Do note that you need to have experience on these champs, but when played well will absolutely destroy Udyr.

Ill try elise as well. Should I focus on kiting and avoid going into spider stance?

With Elise, you can disengage from a fight incredibly easily. Not only that, but you can fight him early on, even in spider stance. The Phoenix stance nerfs hurt his earlygame incredibly hard and as long as you don't get collapsed on, you'll be able to kill him.

Ekko I think Ekko beats him. He stuns you? You stun him with your W. Try to ult him offensively too, bring ignite always. Get attack speed boots to proc the passive faster and swing away.

MasterYi Probably beats him too, haven't played enough Yi against Udyr yet.

This is terrible advice. You're never going to to take ignite on ekko jungle, you need flash. If Udyr stuns you and you use your W, Udyr runs around it and smacks you around. Zerks are complete garbage on all but about 3 champs, and ekko is no exception. Merc treads vs Udyr. Yi will beat him lategame with QSS and not before then. Volibear gets destroyed.

volibear can trash udyr early atleast, yi actually can 1v1 him early and late if on even terms or yi is slightly ahead +

Are we talking tank yi or crit ?

If played right Yi can fight him before first back assuming yi has red buff. However, this is risky and not advised. Post-6 + Devourer you can generally win, and once you get rageblade he has no shot at fighting you. This is bruiser/onhit yi, Crit yi can fight him later on for sure but he takes a lot longer to ramp up.

udyr is pretty cancer late game for yi because he goes so fast and just rapid stuns you no matter how fast you are, i was in ult and botrk + swifties with alacrity and still outrun. point being; he still can't duel you straight up throughout the game unless he has a lead, crit or bruiser. but you should still go brusiery because yknow crit yi doesn't survive long in this cancer meta lol. (ps, devourer would maul udyr faster esp if crit so)
