No joke the opponent's Yasuo in my last game said "Nasus is too op! nerf him!"
He took Yasuo top into Nasus (me) so....

I tend to play top champs whom he counters so I usually do think he's OP. And when I do my main role (supp), by the time I face a Nasus he's usually late game and his q chunks me like no tomorrow. So, I don't usually like him. But I do think he's balanced. Not his fault the only top lane champs I do he counters, and he's supposed to be broken lat game, just like Veig and Thresh and Kind
And
, now, too. infinite health is damned powerful.
Hes only op if ya feed him xD But thats the same for any champ. Lowkey i tried to fight a fed af nasus with Illaoi, my ult didnt put a dent in his health.
to be fair people only consider nasus bad when considering how his q has to stack but his other 2 spells more than make up for his q being weak early even if e didnt do damage the armor lost is very strong but e does damage and causes nasus to still be effective even if you build armor early. even worse building armor early you lose all ability to push nasus away from minions. didnt even count his passive sustain. nasus lane is 80% reliant on a jungler willing to camp him even if they cant get the kill.

Actually I do just fine without the jg camping me, I just ban Darius then that's that, but if Darius is banned by the opponents already, I ban Teemo, so then nothing stops my top lane easily.
i was saying that you need jungle to camp your lane to deal with a Nasus not to play as him.
This is not even remotely true or accurate. Nasus is easily beat out of lane by ranged tops or champions who are manaless. Nasus does not see big returns on his passive until he has 100 stacks and a sheen. Ignite is a very easy way to pressure him out of the lane or kill him. Executioner's Calling is 800 gold and builds from a long sword so you can easily destroy his passive. If you pick a tank like Malphite or Naut into him and he knows what he's doing you have to play to win in team fights and forget about winning the lane. Most Split Push champions thrive in lane but not team fights so you have to ask yourself what your champion does better and make decisions from there.
E is not a strong trading ability or farming ability unless you are going for the brainless Quas Build which falls off by mid game with just your enemy buying one MR item and out scaling you b/c you have no damage on Q and thus no way to make decent use of your life steal.
W get's strong when Nasus is able to trade before that it is strong only if the enemy over extends and his jungler is nearby or if he has to peel someone off. However anyone with a built in cleanse, built in mobility or hard CC can easily negate wither's effectiveness.
Sure pull the 8%-10% of top lane champions (ranged champions) that beat absolutely everyone top lane and is the cop out answer for dealing with every top lane problem rather than calling any actual top lane champions and say that's why Nasus is weak. Ignite top then you lose map pressure with teleport. Magic resist first item the E is still useful because it shreds armor which is argueably more important than the large chunk of health that the E does in the first place Nasus needs 100+ stats to for q to be usefull normally thats why pre 100 stacks E armor shred still is usefull for buffing nasus q and every auto attack he does and you lose all kill pressure on Nasus in your only window to beat him. Nasus has Whither which stops any 1v1 or 2v1 from being effective the thing about nasus lane is that even if you have mobility to escape Nasus' lane win condition isnt killing your enemy is farming so running from nasus doesnt help you he still wins lane that way.
Garen, Renekton, Camille, Darius, Yorick, Illaoi, Trundle, Teemo, Swain, Karma and many others have an absolute field day harassing Nasus and bullying him. Many of these are melee. Ignite is always a gamble but it is meant to help you snowball. There are merits and cons to taking TP as well but you are acting like TP is an instant win . Magic resists negates the burst from the Spirit Fire. Yes your armor might get chunked but if you stand and fight on it then that's your fault. It lasts a whopping 1 sec once you step off and cost him a ton of mana. Most Nasus players are not going to trade early with you unless you trade when he has a sizable minion advantage and at that point any champ could kill you in this scenario. E is not nearly as powerful as you make it sound and it get's progressively weaker as the game goes on as it is a flat amount of reduction.
Wither makes Nasus strong in 1v1 but it's not nearly as effective in 1v2 or 1v3's unless he's fed to hell and you and your team are stupid enough to engage him when you are at a level, exp and item disadvantage. Nasus might win lane but maybe you could do something else if you are unable to kill him? Roam? Snowball your carries? Get Baron/Drag/ Towers? Your line of reasoning is always so one dimensional when it comes to Nasus. He has so much counter play it's almost criminal and yet you think he's op. He has a 4% pick rate which means only mains play him and hovers between 49-51% win rate. Definition of balanced.
Stop crying about Nasus and learn how to play the game.
Actually, I've found that I have no problems against toplane champions. Start
, and build it into
for a bit of mana regen and to cover yourself on gold, get ~200 stacks, then just W E Q them. That's almost enough to take out half their health.

It's a trash item in the long run and if you start climbing to high silver or gold you will get crushed by building it. Armor or Ruby Crystal are much better buys for your early game and build into things Nasus wants and needs.
Your build makes my eyes bleed but good job crushing Yasuo's soul. BTW next time instead of FH just buy Thorn Mail. He will really cry then. Also Yasuo is completely AA reliant to do damage and Wither is the premier anti AA ability. He was doomed to begin with.

I get the FH and IBG so I can have near-infinite wither going.
i prefer

.
same result but way tankier against everything else. also you have the added bonus of reducing his AA by 13% and another 10% cuz of randuims.
just getting armor isnt good especially when yass gets played by a competent player he will remove half your bonus armor.
and if he builds
you will get fucked beyond belief.
just a humble mastery 6 nassus players opinion
ps
i know a lot of people raise an eyebrow at this one but its really good because it allows for better sustain AND damage half your tankyness comes from sustain to begin with.
Triforce is best if you are completely stomping or believe you will need to carry b/c your team in incapable of doing so. Remember it is nearly 10k gold for TF, FH and SV and you lose some gold efficiency b/c you over cap CDR. IBG and SV gives you all the same stats for 5500 gold and you lose very little in terms of damage from IBG over TF. That and IBG allows you to be tankier and afford another bruiser item far more quickly like Sterak's or Titanic Hydra (My Personal Fav on Nasus)
Warmog's is HIGHLY situational and I would only consider building it if I was vs 3 True damage champs. Not sure if you run CDR in your runes but if you do the build above again loses out on CDR efficiency which for a champion who, generally, has trouble getting gold is a bad thing.
i dont run cdr on him and yes
is for when you need to stomp (which is more often then not)
that being said
with
i got all my bases covered. and each item is below 3k
good armor/mr
good amount of health (above 3 k)
and 40%cdr.
any other items i get wont have cdr on them
personally i hate overcapping cdr so i never do it. havent played him in a while though but i do remember not building warmogs from time to time when the fights were of an all in nature.
I think there are few times Nasus get's to stomp vs competent opponents and as such 9/10 times IBG will be the preferred build.
I think Warmog's is highly situational and ultimately not the greatest purchase on Nasus. It's just straight health and regen which can be good, like I said, vs several true damage enemies but even then Deadman's or Sterak's would ultimately be more beneficial. You still have all your bases covered and have better stats that synergy with Nasus from resistances and passives.
Plus I think taking the 10% CDR in runes is best as it doesn't force you to buy another 10% CDR item or over cap. This is just my opinion. I have a lot of games with Nasus and he's my highest played champion. For whatever that's worth! :)
thanks for the adive. il keep it in mind when i pick him up again.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend building Warmog's Armor on Nasus. I would suggest using:

- 10% Flat CDR Runes
- Iceborn Gauntlet or Trinity Force
- Spirit Visage
- Intelligence Mastery
I usually do:
sheen item spirit visage banner of command
good gates and capped cdr while keeping glyphs free for pure defense all the way.

I'm also a Mastery Lv.6 Nasus.
I'm also a Mastery Lv.6 Nasus.
Mastery doesn't say as much as win rate and KDA. You can just play a champion a lot and get the mastery Icon but its consistent wins and decent KDA's that show true mastery IMHO.
28 games played 57% winrate terrible kda of 2.58 but i was playing splitpush nassus at the time which builds
and who doesnt really care too much for kda. an average of 225 cs per game with a duration of usually below 30 min

I am at 113 Games on him with a 53% Win Rate. I've had some shitty lucks with AfK's lately so my win rate went from around 60% down... =( Currently still holding a 3.29:1 KDA though so I am still performing well besides getting potatoes.
Split Push Nasus is really not great in the long run. Sacrificing your Q for the stronger Early game severely hinders your power mid game and negates his largest power budgeted ability and his passive. Some of the Master Tier Nasus Players I talk to say that the E-Max build is in general worse unless they are up against a super hard counter top.
ZZ-Rot is still ok but the nerf really hurt it's effectiveness. May want to leave this one behind and just get a GA.
yea i havent really played it after the zzrot nerfs in ranked.
I much prefer
/
, and starting
against range. I run that against just about anyone (swapping spirit in first if against AP). Less damage reduction from Yas, but the last two items make everyone cry. 62% total lifesteal (LS quints! :D) and GA just makes him downright unkillable. Combine with 600+ stacks for more healing than a Soraka can dish out.
Still have yet to find anyone smart enough to buy Mortal Reminder against me, but that'd still leave me with 21-42% lifesteal. Then again, nobody bothers to buy LW items at my elo, so I'm pretty much promised a win.
I get the FH and IBG so I can have near-infinite wither going.
It's really unnecessary. You over cap CDR and wasted stats are never good. Righteous Glory would be the better option if you are having mana issues. That and it gives you a nice chunk of health and a sexy speed boost.
You know, I always thought Nasus was only counterable with poke, typically AP, but I took a J4 into him in my last match (possibly not on this account, don't recall) and I realized so long as you have a reliable escape for when he casts Wither on you, you can at least maintain CS, then ruin his tower while he's gone.
yeah at the same time i hear people say "
is OP" after they pick
INTO HIM.

From my experience, Darius is fairly op IN GENERAL not just against Nasus, as I've never beaten one ever since they made it his ult resets if it kills.
And I've used the following against him,
but I still lose
May I make a suggestion? Look at your icon. Look very closely at it. You'll find your counter, there.

If you lose hard to darius as
then you probably got outplayed into the dirt or you fucked up.

No, the problem is is that Jax received a bit of a nerf passively awhile back.

The only indirect nerf I can think of in the past however many patches is fervor changes. Otherwise Jax got very nice buffs with his passive, and he is still more than strong enough to fuck darius.
Check out Hashinshin's games vs darius as jax and learn the matchup. It mostly boils down to playing around decimate.
no more attack speed on it. which came from
which was an overall better item for the passive to be on. wouldnt even mention the maw changes that gave it its current passive
He is right.
