I've been playing a lot of normals lately and oftentimes my team comps lack hard cc. It's not something that bothers me because in normals I just want to play my favorite champ and so does everyone else. My question is, what am I supposed to do if our team lacks cc and/or a tank?
This isn't a problem in ranked because (at my elo at least) everyone plays wombo combo champs.

Puynsi2 votesSplit push, splitting the team (use your teammates as bait for the tank while you go for those delicious squishies), stalling the tank in laning phase (if you know you can't win on the long run, make him stay on your lane by applying pressure at all times). Also the not conventional and impractical one would be ignore the tank completly unless is one of those high-damage high-durability champs like darius or renek.
ltmetal2 votesWin before 20 minutes, because you won't win a 5v5 unless you get fed beyond belief in the laning phase. If the enemy team holds out on you and refuses to surrender, split push and look for picks, but don't fight 5v5.
My best advice is if nobody on your team will pick a tank or CC champion, take one for the team and do it yourself even if you aren't comfortable with the role. I have been in a ranked game while last pick and my comp looked like this 
so I locked in Tank Amumu bot lane and we managed to win it.
