Due to the increase in armour across the board, frozen heart becomes less useful as a major armour item to stop physical damage. Other items do this better than they used to, taking up space in frozen heart's niche. Do you think we can give it 100 armour again to make it that big armour item purchase?

is a relic considering how RITO took away auras from the game... so it has that unique aspect and the armor to go with it at 90 makes it a very strong item.
but just as all items they are situational and not meant to be gotten in every game for every situation

You specifically said Thornmail has the highest armor value of any single item in the game, which you now know to be untrue.
Iceborn Gauntlet, albeit with numbers tweaked and an area-of-effect slow/damage on-hit effect in lieu of an aura is identical to Frozen Heart.

and nothing is meant to be bought in ever game for every situation .... its all situational
if you are facing alot of on hit attack speed champs who arent using crit then frozen heart would be ideal... but if vs crit users yes randiums would be ideal or vs a single target that is being an issue like a vayne or tryn etc
