Probuilds is literally a statistics site you should never fucking use.

you say something but don't explain why lmao

It quotes around a 100-200 players in a game with millions of people. The statistics are completely unreliable. It doesn't show how actually good kogmaw players (his mains) are performing but only how good players are performing. Being good at league isn't being good at a champion, and vice versa.

I'm not disagreeing with your conclusion (Kogmaw is bad in proplay). I'm disagreeing with how you present it.

I find the site the most reliable from any site (champion.gg, op.gg, lolalytics.com, leagueofgraphs.com) since it 1) shows the players playing it 2) shows item builds/skill paths 3) generally more reliable since top ADCs tend to make fewer mistakes with the champion. It's not the best site but substantially more reliable (in my opinion).

so should the champion be nerfed/buffed around his mains or top tier players. because if its the former, the current state of Kog'Maw would be entirely different don't you think? Pre patch 6.18 (machine gun kog'maw) flaw was that he stood still while autoing at his super high attack speeds. His mains/people who mastered him figured out ways to orb-walk and kite but Riot didn't balance him around his mains.

No, champions aren't balanced solely around the best players of it. They are taken in consideration when balancing.

ProBuild's sample is simply way too small to pull a good conclusion of it. Statistics are reliant on a representative sample or it's void.

I think I understand what you mean. So why do you think Machine Gun Kog'Maw was nerfed? He had a really low play-rate (high win-rate due to inflation from his mains) and saw LCS only a couple of times. They certainly saw a problem with kiting but at what level of play did they see this problem? Since you say that top players are simply taken into consideration we need to remove the top players being the issues from the equation.

I really wish Riot would release their own statistics. I'm not sure what's preventing them from doing it. It would probably open people's eyes to champions that are under-played and suffer from terrible win-rates.

No you dont. You just are quoting it because thats the only one that agrees with the point you're trying to make.

Turns out the only site that lines up with your Kog QQ is one that uses a sample of only 126 games which is absolutely unusable garbage data

as opposed to what data? you're literally saying "you're wrong" and not providing constructive criticism lmao

if you look at each win-rate with its play rate it's never above 1.5%. You're telling me that you'd rather believe a 55% win-rate Kog'Maw at a .9% play rate from Plat, Diamond, Master and Challenger (MOST OF WHICH COMES FROM PLAT AND DIAMOND BTW) than a strict database that focuses on top tier players that 1) don't script 2) have obtained highest level of macro play 3) have more or less consistent games with the champion/other champions.

If you look at op.gg (in the last month), over 4k games were played in Plat+Diamond whereas in Master and Challenger less than 100 games. In Plat+Diamond its about 52% win rate but in Master+Challenger its a 60% win rate (once again in 100 games). You're telling me this is good data? You can't even see who is playing these games and how the game went.

champion.gg is complete garbage. look at that data pool: 969. Bruh what are you smoking. That # look like an area code.

everything besides leagueofgraphs.com I wouldn't trust.
