You ever hear the old candle saying?

"A candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long." I think that fits league really well in this state. People have made points about why the game is in the state that its in and who it's supposed to cater to.

I personally believe that it isn't far off the mark that League has been specifically balanced just so a specific larger demographic is appeased by the game.

Damage is up, snowball is up, game times are down, and modern champion designs are taking a step backward in terms of how difficult they truly are.

People get their fix on fast paced action and death filled games. You either feel like complete shit when you get steam rolled in a 1 sided slaughter or you feel like god himself when you're the one dishing out death and looking at that LP gained. But you just as quickly become more burnt out on the game. It's no where near close to the same feel of gameplay that the game had when it still felt far more divided by skill and it was just in a much more balanced state.

I'm going to say this and guarantee that this is not an echo chambered opinion from the boards, the dedicated players, the players who once loved the game, the players who've spent more time than anyone else playing the game are getting sick of it.

It'd be one thing if it's just a simple case of playing the game for too long and getting bored of it, but no that's not what it is. You can listen to them and figure it out pretty quickly that they don't like the state of the game. Most of them won't ever come out and directly address it by trying to speak out about it, but if you careful listen to them then they let it out in short comments.

This is evident in alot of old time streamers and community members who make content. The boards being an echo chamber is one thing for a number of reasons, but when you have people unrelated to the forums community all saying that they just don't like the game then there is clearly evidence that something is not right.

I say this of course after watching Sp4zie, one of leagues oldest and once largest community personalities and content creators. He released a video directly addressing the fact that he's moving away from League content because both him and his close group of friends just don't enjoy the game anymore.

I'm 100% Positive that if it wasn't their job then a good number of the league streamers of today would drop the game cold or atleast stop playing it on the regular. No concrete sources, but apparently even Dyrus stated that if he could still maintain he only plays league so often now adays because no one will watch him if he tries anything else.
