I don't care what elo you are, I don't care what role you main, you can learn at least ONE support. Don't get me wrong, a great support makes all the difference in the world and I love them to death. But I can work with an autofilled support who at least understands the champ they picked and have a general idea of how to play safe.
It is true that while it's strongly recommended to concentrate our development on one particular point, being familiar with at least one or two champions that are intended for other roles is also critical to player development. This is especially the case for ranked, since we'll not always get the role we desire, and should accommodate that mechanic known as Autofill.
On the other hand, I hope people aren't forced to experience my amazingly mediocre skills with Blitz and Sona.
