@RIOT Why does Poppy's ult make enemies invincible?

I can't count the number of times that I've actually saved enemies by hitting them with a knockup. You would think hard CC that an enemy tank lands would leave you open to follow up damage, but Poppy strays away from this almost unanimous trend.

Was this due to some requirement in her displacement that sends people towards their own base? Was it because you thought it was best if her send enemies away blast overrode any other team displacement?

I can't help but think the champion would be better off and more useful to her team if she didn't make enemies invincible unlike any other knockup in the game.

It doesn't make them invincible.

It makes them untargetable.

Because if they are target-able, champions like Zilean can leave bombs on the trail and get a Penta kill or something.

It's to balance the strength of the ultimate and keep it towards the intended use, if it w asn't their the ult would be twice as more powerful than it already is, and on a 1 to 10 on how strong poppies ultimate is compared to everyone elses I give it a solid 8 to 9

because it's not meant to be a cc tool, it's meant to be a disengage/ballsy backline engage.

it is to lvl the field, not to do dmg, knock away the extra team, not the target
